  1. Gidday all. To the big smoke yesterday for Dr's appt. I am now diagnosed as having Chronic Pain and have started on Fentanyl patches today. Has to help or I'm in some trouble.
Surgery next month to do a SPC which will be a huge relief from this darned catheter chafing away at me.
We have had terrific rain and a good start to the wet season. Our moocows loving the fresh green grass. Cows are all in calf again so in about 6 months there will be baby calves bouncing around. They are funny to watch.
Recalcitrant generator down again. Had big oil loss. Cummins are coming to the rescue. There is so much I cannot do now with this twice broken back but luckily me knowledge is still there along with my nursing skills.
Must away peace to all Hooroo

    It is 12:02 a.m. so . . . Good Tuesday Morning!

Hope the meds help Michael. Thanks for the link to the local weather station but . . . still don't have the answer to how much snow fall we've had this season.

herring - I have my almost 4 year old grandson here. He finally fell asleep after 4 books and 1 hour of playing with my hair and tossing and turning and wanting his mommy. We made plans for tomorrow, we talked about dreaming about some of the characters in the books we read, etc. Last time he was here he fell right asleep but tonight he fell asleep in the pickup on the way up here so that took the edge off his sleepiness. I'm still awake . . . just got Carrie Fisher's book Postcards From The Edge . . .so might make a cup of chamomile tea and read for awhile.

Then I'll be back for coffee in a few hours.

Hope you all are sound asleep! Those of you on this side of the Earth where it is nighttime.

    G'day!

Michael, hope the patches give you some relief.

Working overtime today. Went to three inservices yesterday, one of which was mercifully short. Didn't have time to cook much but I have dinner's prepared and some vegan convince meals to take, so I don't have to go to the cafeteria for lunch which is overpriced.

Steph, hope you and grandson got some rest. Have a great day!

G'day on tuesday night here in Oz!

Spent a very pleasant day with a dear life long friend..... we went to the movies and saw "LION". I recommend it, it is an incredible story.
After the movie we had lunch at one of the nearby pubs.... delicious fish and salad.
    Yep, retirement is grand!

As Dianah says: "have read you all" ...... always nice to read the happenings.

I'm on "Nana duty" tomorrow ... ... always a joy for this grandmother! ... It'll be the last day before Z commences school! Hard to believe he's 5 years old already! Seems like only yesterday I shared the news and joy of his arrival!!....He's been the sunshine in my life since!! And so too is his little brother C ... he arrived 22 months ago! Both Nana's favourite people besides their own mother and Uncle; who BTW....is now out of the military!! YAY!!! ... WooHoo!!... No more stress and worry with him being deployed! 6 deployments over the last several years was 6 too many for this mother!!

    OK... just keeping in touch!

    Keep safe and well everyone!
    Cheers,
    Grace

Greetings, all. This will be the last time i am checking in for awhile. It's the 10th grade trip again, and we will be traveling south! Seeing 9 colleges in 5 days, as well as museums and other sites. It is a great trip, but exhausting.

Steph, I read Postcards from the Edge. I could have sent you my copy. I love book exchanges!

Hope everyone stays well. Take care of each other!

    Morning all,

Rainy and extremely windy today. I took DS's car to work, as it is much heavier than mine and I didn't want to be blown all over the highway. He's away at a sales meeting, so he couldn't say no..lol. I'm tired today. It was very windy all night and the cats were restless. That means jumping on and off the bed a gazillion times all night. Good thing they're cute. DD signed us up for a glass blowing class this weekend. It will be a fun thing to do with her. Just don't inhale!!!

Michael-I hope the fentanyl helps and the generators behave. Steph-hope you were able to get some sleep. Tweety-3 inservices in one day? Too much for me...I'd be asleep. Have a good day today. Grace-it's so nice to have you back. Glad you are enjoying the grandbabies. Far-have fun on the trip. Hope the kids behave and you can have some wine at night! Hi Joe and Herring!

    Take care all!

    Yawn,
Still dark here and frosty. Spent yesterday shadowing a co-worker as she finished her monthly reporting. She had to leave early so I dug into 2 online modules, one on meningitis and the other on public and private community partnerships.

Today is an all day class on writing policy and procedures. I have a tendency to fall asleep during these things, hope I don't snore.

Michael, I hope for relief for you. I am inspired that in spite of your pain you can find joy in green grass and frolicking calves.

Spidey's Mom (may I call you Steph?) and Grace, yes grandsons are grand.

To all, take care, will miss you, Far

The trip sounds like fun . . . but yeah, exhausting. Thanks for the offer. I ordered most of her books after she died. I'm surprised I hadn't read them before since I'm such a fan.

Sure! I've been outed over here on AN for awhile. I still don't think any of my co-workers are on AN though.

Grandson just woke up. Mickey Mouse Club is a must so after that we are going to suit up in snow clothes and try to make a snowman. He just asked me "What size snowball do you think goes for the stomach?" and I said "I don't know" and he grinned and said "medium!". Of course, large on bottom, medium in middle, small on top. A snowman!

He loves reading a kid's book I got my older kids on anatomy and I got him his own for Christmas. Mom sent me a video where he had taken the stickers out of the book and placed them on his body in proper order and then pointed to them and told me what they were called and what they were for. Such a crack up to watch . . .

Gotta stand up and get my 2nd cup of coffee. You all have a great day!

Afternoon, all. Rough week at work- unsafe patient situation yesterday due to staffing and low censused (again!) today. And it's only Tuesday. Sent in another job application last night. If this one doesn't work out, I think I'm going to have to look into changing specialties.

Netflix binging continues as it's cold and rainy and grey outside. I'm starting to get some cabin fever symptoms- I want outside in warm sunny weather! So does the dog- we can play fetch inside, but it's just not the same as getting outside.

Oh, and I hit the gold badge today! 10,002 posts and counting.
