--Only 7% of the population are lefties.

My son, neice, mother-in-law, and uncle are all lefties...I figured that this percentage would be MUCH higher

--Babies are born without knee caps. They don't appear until they are 2-6 years old.

    Thats just FREAKY!!!

--The average computer user blinks 7 times a minute.

Ya know....I blinked a LOT more often I'm sure, after I read this line!:roll

--Most hospitals make money by selling the umbilical cords cut from women who give birth. They are reused in vein transplant surgery.

What The???? As far as I know...both hospitals I have worked at just chunk them in the bag with the placenta and trash them! That's just nasty!!!! Surely it HAS to be inaccurate!

I do not believe that babies are born without kneecaps! How do they support themselves when the begin to walk?

    What are they crawling on?

I know I have never eaten a spider in my sleep! I would rather sh*t twice and die!

P.S. I made sure I blinked more too! LOL

hehe how do you get injured by a toilet??? Other than being in grade school.

Eew dont you think the spider would wake you up?? I read that on a snapple bottle cap. I have been bitten by spiders in my sleep though. You wake up ith two red marks side by side. Havent had one lately though.

You can not have a bellybutton but people who dont have belly buttons wernt born that way, they had some sort of surgery (not elective, somthing they needed) and insted of a belly button they have scar.

I heard the babies having no knee caps thing in my A&P class. Maybe it develops as they crawl around??

It's been proven wrong...........the spider thing. I guess they are afraid of moving air, and the air from your open mouth would scare them off...and yea, I'm sure you'd feel the tickle on your tounge while it walked into your mouth...........

Dood.... spiders love warm, dark places. And guess what? All of your body orifices fall into that category. Creepy but true.

Spider annihilation is something I take very seriously.

I am a leftie, and I have noticed over the years that a lot of people in the medical field are lefties, way more than the general population. Has anyone ever done a poll on that subject on this board? If no, I will probably do one to see how it comes out.

None of the ob units I worked in saved umbilical cords unless they are sent to pathology. In years of travel that's roughly 15-20 different ob units.
The spider thing gives me the willies! (and probably insomnia too)
