Tricks of the Trade

  1. OK, guys, I'm trying really hard here. I don't want to sound silly
or be a bother but I'm having a bit of difficulty navigating this site
effectively. I have figured out a few things on my own, but any
tips you have would reallllllly help me!:imbar
I'm embarrassed to say that I am very new at being on-line
to begin with, so maybe that's why I'm confused.

What's the best way to keep track of what you've read, and what's been posted since last time you read. I've tried subscribing to the threads that I'm participating in but sometimes
they disappear? I'm so afraid I'm gonna miss something!!!!

Are there any other tricks of the trade that you could teach

    Sorry to bug ya.

go to nursing discussions section. it should say welcome back nursiern. below that is a link that says view new posts. click it and it shows you the things posted since your last visit. maybe this will help some. once you get used to the site it is actually very easy to navigate. good luck! and welcome.

Thanks, Tiger. I have been doing that lately, and it definitely
helps. Anyone want to add anything?

Oh another one I like is under User CP -->Editing Options. You can choose to minimize posts you've already read on a thread, so it's where you left off the last time

I go to today's active threads and then on the left, see the envelopes? they've got little icons to tell you which you replied to and stuff.... it's handy

Once you've read everything you are going to read in your fav. forums click on Mark this forum read. So you don't read it again.
There will be a little arrow if there is something new.
