Tired, oh so tired

  1. 6 weeks into the summer semester. It's only been me and another nursing instructor--we're both doing double clinicals. (For me, it's two different clinical sites, both in areas in which I am not too familiar). I just feel bone tired exhausted. Our school put out another add in the newspaper advertising the opening for ADN instructor--not one person applied. Next week off (thank God). After that, just 4-1/2 more weeks to go. On a brighter note, I am enjoying (most of the time) teaching and I am getting much better at it. Have almost been at the school for 1 year now. I am getting much better (and faster) at writing lectures, study questions, study guides, and in presenting the material before students. I am turning into one mean, lean lecture-writing machine. And learning so much. Just want to let you guys know how I'm doing and why I haven't been posting very much lately...

I bet all the experience you are gaining will pay off in future in many different ways. Sounds very rewarding though like you say, tiring.

I'm tired just listening to you. Thanks for reminding me that it isn't just hospitals that are short staffed and working hard. Hang in there!
