  1. Goooood morning all. Trust all who are slumbering wake up full of happiness.
Been raining here for the last week so my garden is leaping out of its leaves. Fortunately my Barbies have nor lept out of their clothed this time.
I have a new ambulance! The village bought me a used Ford wagon so I can continue to help out folks in need. Talk about a happy camper. Plus I get a new generator next month.
Been thinking a lot lately about how bad the media really is. Nothing much is ever printed or aired about the thousands of kids in Syria and Palestine and other places who are so much in need. Kids are just kids, the world over.
(Packs his soap box away)There is a lot of flooding in this area but being so sparsely populated, there is not much impact. Our nearest neighbours are 50 miles away, all 3 of them. Nearest the other way are 80 miles away. Note I used miles for you up and overs.
Have an engine change now so better gallop off to the shed.
Have a peaceful day, all with no shivering.
    Hooroo Michael

Good Morning Michael, Davey, Stephanie and all who swing by,

Michael I am relieved you are still getting some good rains, so neat about your community getting that ol' ute for you to use while assisting those in needs. Gotta love the outback community spirit eh? I know what you are saying about the media I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Love the AKY knotted yarn Davey you sure are a whiz at this with your artistic flair.

Stephanie praying you get a good nights rest with no call outs.

Well it was still snowing when I let the dogs out at 3:30am, I could not sleep and they thought seeing I was up they needed to pee. The snow is as deep as their bellies right now and it was hilarious to watch them jump around.

Hoping I get some great photos of them later on while they romp and jump on each other. Email sent out last night by our Executive Director stating all offices are closed today.

We did get a little sleet but then it changed back to snow although I am still concerned about the weather they have forecast for later today. Praying we do not get the ice.

Going to relax today with some cooking, writing some letters and cards and generally pottering around. Going to get my run in later on and then chill out. Hubby and I enjoyed the Jacuzzi last night and a movie which we did not get all the way through due to our peepers getting tired. Will finish watching that some time today.

May you all have a most excellent day no matter what you get up to. Keep safe and smile.

    Much love to you all.

PS off to get another cuppa

Morning Michael herring Davey Steph Sabby

Well, I now have a business line. My business phone isn't working yet, and I don't have any of the equipment, so it may be a while before I'm actually working from home. Took a while to even confirm I had internet access.

Went to work after the installation was complete. Thankfully I had no voicemails when I got there. Wasn't too bad, though for some reason I was feeling quite tired that day. Came home and relaxed.

Going to do the grocery shopping today. Will be a change with the new diet, will have to be careful to stick to my list. Hope I sleep better tonight, the last 2 nights I've woken repeatedly.

Eh . . . .you don't want any of those. Full of preservatives, artificial colors and red dye #3

Morning all - on my second cup of coffee.

Those new neighbors - loud music and loud voices coming from their house at 0630. Still partying? Sheesh . . ..

Sabby - enjoy your day off. It is just overcast here and not too cold. I won't start a fire this morning.

Gotta go . . . Spidey has band!

Good morning. Good to read you all.

I just woke up. I tried to sleep in a bit. Last night I started with a low grade fever, chills, achey and a cough. I ate a good meal, took some meds then went to be early. I am working the late shift today so don't have to be at work until a little later this morning. Since waking up I don't feel worse, no cough (yet) and a little less achey so I'm happy about that. I am still debating if I might close my eyes for a little longer or get in the shower then grab some tea and cold meds. Hmmm, I think I will rest a bit more then get up. (yawn)

Wishing all a wonderful Thursday. It's almost Friday.

Davey, I love it. I have to make it my new avatar. You took what I told you about the origin of the name and really nailed it. Thank you so much. This is such a gift. I will treasure it.

Michael, so glad you will still be able to help those around you. Glad you are getting the rain. We are having quite the snow here. I love snow, as long as I can view it from my easy chair. We are also getting lots of wind and currently having sleet and freezing rain. We have already had about a foot and expecting much more. I will throw a snowball for you.

Joe, glad things are working out, even if it is slow.

Sabby, you could have kept the rain, and I would have enjoyed only snow here. My dog may go out later if the winds die down. She gets so cold so quickly, even with seaters and coats. She hates it. But she loves to play in the snow so we have a narrow window when she can be out and playing.

On fb I keep getting pics of snow from different areas. One friend in NC sent pics of all the electric lines down. TV says it is even worse than she presented.

I start my new job next week. I will be glad to get back in harness. It is a new kind of job for me, and I look forward to learning all about retail and am glad I do not have to sell the furniture. I could starve.

I have been drinking coffee all morning and want to get a few things done around here before I start the new job but am enjoying the storm too much currently to do much.

Be safe out there. If you are in the storm area, stay in. I know New England may get really slammed. If what we have is any indication, prepare to be without electric, and stay off the roads.

    Good Afternoon -

It looks like people, here, are getting some kind of precipitation. Michael, it's good to read that you're getting the rain that you need. Everyone else seems to be getting snow. There's up to 16 inches of snow predicted for the area where I live. We're ready for it (for the most part). It's the southern states who don't usually see the white stuff that are of concern. An old music-college friend (and room-mate) who used to live in NY (and MA), now lives in Tennessee. He mentioned that they'll be getting several inches of snow, and mentioned that he's never seen that much snow where he now lives during the 16 years of living there.

Tonight is the last of three nights of work, then I'm off for two nights. Will be studying for ACLS re-certification during those two nights off. UGH.

    Keep warm and dry, folks.

Ollie had eye surgery 10 days ago and his sutures came out and the dreaded E collar came off finally!

Sutures are out but he's ready to go home even in the cone of shame.
