Hi Grace! And Good Morning to all who've yet to post today.

It's early Thursday morning, and I just can't get to sleep. But I have to try; busy day tomorrow.

You all have a good one, OK?

    Good morning, all! :kiss

Please pray for me, because I really need to get this messy house cleaned. I need a little motivation to get going and accomplish the seemingly insurmountable feat of cleaning my home. I have never liked housework, but the mess has gotten out of proportion.

Good morning all (although it's 10pm here!)!

I just got in from the school's Christmas Concert: bell choirs and choirs and bell choirs and bands and orchestras and choirs and bell choirs and string ensembles and choirs and bell choirs and . . . for 2 1/2 hr!!! It was very Christmas-y: stage in auditorium-cum-gym (boxy, tall-ceilinged, echo-y building) decorated with garland intertwined with red ribbons and white lights, and white lights twinkled on two trees on stage, which was flanked by a wreath on each side of the stage . .. The kids all performed well (it was just a tad too long, for my taste)! Oldest ds even had a speaking part!

So, tomorrow he has to be to the school at 7am, so choir can travel to Riverside to sing. Mentally, for me, getting up any time before 6 a.m. is difficult!! (you'd never know I took call for over 20 yr, getting OOB at all hours of the night to work, then reporting back to work on time the next morning, lol!) I'm off early tomorrow, so dh and I can pick the kids up from school, drop them off at home, then drive to Calimesa to meet with the jazz class, to perform at a Rotary holiday function. I think that's the LAST program for us!!

Grace, thanks for starting the thread, I've missed seeing you post here! Hope you had a good visit with your dd!

Hi muffie and Don, hope you're asleep by now . . think: sheep. Read something boring.

We worked hard today, only two of us in the Lab, as the other two called off sick. Got two cases done, and then did some problem-solving (with Biomed) re: burning CDs of this week's cases, done in the "new" room. Still getting used to the new room. Biomed chief (he's SOOO helpful, we need to get him some cookies!!!) will work on two other issues in the room, tomorrow. Tomorrow's case will be done in the old room, as we need the biplane fluoro (very helpful for crossing the valve in aortic stenosis cases).

Better get ready for bed, morning comes early these days. Bless you all.--- D

Commuter, I could have written your plea myself, but for my house!! You have my deepest sympathy, as I DO understand about clutter getting out of control! Baby steps, one thing at a time. I tried once, and they sent so many reminders that my email server banned them, thought they were spam, lol! But I do remember two things: "I can do anything for 15 min" and the 27-item fling (grab 27 items and throw them away!!). Maybe consider hiring professionals to help you??? Ppl who will help you clean, yes, but also organize.

Good luck! I've been tackling my own, in fits and bursts (Monday I cleaned half the LR). Really, I DO understand. There may be hope for us: it still bothers us! When the mess begins not to bother me, THEN maybe I should worry!!! --- D

Hi Grace, Don, Dianah, Commuter, muffie, and all who follow.

I just got home from the big city where I had my hair done, bought new clothes, took my son to a late lunch, went to Target. The drive home was rainy and foggy at points.

Talked to my oldest who said it was clear and nice in So. Cal and I'm hoping it stays that way. One more day and then we head south.

Can I just say I hate trying on clothes. :stone It is so depressing to look at yourself in a full-length mirror.

Ok - my dh let our son stay up and watch "Trick my Truck" and it is after 10 p.m. That man spoils that child. I just peeked over at him but he is sound asleep now . . . gotta brush his teeth and put his little self to bed.

Oh - almost forgot . . . Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus surprised us this morning by visiting the preschool We only had 7 kids, 5 were girls . . so it was a nice visit with the Santa and his wife.

(Don - hope you are able to sleep).

Steph, it HAS been nice here (= not too hot!). Hope the weather holds for your trip. Have a safe drive and a good visit/graduation/fun time! (I do know what you mean about trying clothes on . . . I don't know who exchanged "my" body for this one that claims to be mine (aliens????), but this is NOT what I look like, in truth !! REALLY!!!) So, you found a dress???? Describe it for us ! Sounds like you had a busy but productive day!

Ok - I just could not buy a dress. :stone Tried some on but couldn't make myself do it.

The first dress shop I went to was one my hairdresser recommended - an upscale shop having a going-out-of-business sale and everything was 40% off. The saleslady was very knowledgeable and put together three lovely outfits with pants . . . but even at 40% off the pants were $100 . . . So, I left and went to the mall and Macy's . . .funny, I found one of the same pairs of pants that were at the upscale place for mucho dinero for $30 at Macys.

So, I have a black/gray with gold pinstripes blazer and pants with a gold blouse and vest. A new black coat. Some other new blouses. Had to veer away from black because I kept thinking "black is slimming, black is slimming".
