I just received a call from the woman I work with's daughter saying she would not be in again today, she was crying and I could hear loud shouts and crashing in the background...her handicap son (23 or 24 yrs old I think) was destroying the house. She's been having problems all week and hasn't been to work, but I guess it's become out of control today and someone was coming to pick him up...not sure who she meant, but my heart is hurting for their family and for her daughter.
She's only worked here about 5 months and I don't know her "real" well, so she doesn't go into a lot of details about her son...but her daughter explained a lot to me and was worried Barb would lose her job since no one knew the full extent of the problems and why she's been gone. But thankfully management is very understanding so it won't be problem...instead in her absence I've been asked to pick up the slack...a whole other thread
I don't really know what to say to her, so I figure lot's of thoughts and prayers may be better! I appreciate it.
