The camels, unlike Saddam, know when to leave the country!

I'm probably going to regret posting this, but right now I don't care. If my government and/or the majority of my fellow Americans are convinced that war is the best option, that there is an unpleasant, dangerous, but ultimately necessary job to do and our armed forces will go in quickly and do what they have to as humanely and efficiently as possible; well, I may not agree, but I can accept it. I don't really have any choice.

But what really boils my blood is propaganda like this--this rah-rah, Isn't War Kewl?, Here Comes The USA To Lay Its Righteous Woop-Ass on Your Sorry Country, Yee-ha! kind of attitude.

Vegas mentioned in another thread that she felt this attitude was upsetting and unseemly, and a number of posters rushed to reassure her that there was absolutely nothing of the sort going on; on the contrary, we were all feeling solemn and reflective.

Crap like this makes me beg to differ.

I really hope I'm not subjected to a great deal more of it in the next few weeks/months on this board, or if so, that it is at least posted with appropriate warnings for those of us who DO find it unseemly, arrogant, and upsetting as hell, and don't care to see it.

I'm not American...but I have always been amazed how patriotic Americans seem to be...

I understand the purpose images like this serve to some people, but I still find them weird. Like velvet Elvis portraits or something.

sorry, but i don't think the pic needs a warning. to me the eagle in the storm represents a proud country--not an arragant, righteous one. i am proud of our country, our president, and all of the troops and our allies and their troops. i am not ashamed of the fact that we are going to war. i wish it didn't have to happen, as do many, but i think it is necessary.

and what did the camels and the man walking with them do to deserve to die again???
help me out here, I cant understand , I mean I understand patriotism and everything but some ppl seem downright giddy about war and are more concerned with the fact that a freakin sandstorm might delay the military action then with concern for the innocent people WORLDWIDE who will lose their lives as a result of this.....
