The Worst Movie You've Seen Lately

  1. OK, so what is it? Me, I just finished watching "Resident Evil" on HBO. Some crappy futuristic "Dawn of the Dead" spoof. The plot was horrible, but the acting was worse. I know, I could have changed the channel, but it was like a car wreck...I was horrified but couldn't look away!:chuckle What's the worst movie you have seen lately?

The really bad ones I tend to forget:chuckle: Mind you stay up late at night here and you will find the only thing on TV is "Order in the House" - Question Time in the Australian Parliment - The Priime Minister talking to a bunch of glassy - eyed galahs. Watch it for more than ten minutes and even the famous all time loser movie "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" starts to look good! LOL!

Another 15 minutes later out come 2 others.
    Never again!
Gosh, I loved 'Amelie'! I suppose it wasn't for everyone tho'...

Worst movie I've ever seen was 'The Omega Code'. I went with a friend and we walked out after about 10 minutes. Absolutely terrible.
Recently, 'The Matrix:Reloaded' proved to be a big waste of time. I never thought something so violent could be so boring.
Of course there are always those movies that rank as being "so bad, they're good." My favorite in that category is 'Showgirls.' I laughed so hard I almost wet myself! Best line: "I'm not a whore, I'm a dancer!"

Oh! Amelie was BRILLIANT! I absolutely LOVED that movie! So whimsical, so romantic...beautifully directed. The aesthetic design alone was worth watching, not to mention the starlight-y, gypsy infused soundtrack.

And Showgirls! Owwww! One of my favorites. The pool scene was worth the price of purchase alone and in itself. Never seen such wriggling. Like she was trying to...uh...wriggle him to death.

Speaking of movies so bad they're good...I just got finished watching 'HAIR' again- have you seen this? If not, you mustmustmust. The soundtrack is hilarious!!! They'd never in a million years get away with singing stuff like that nowadays. There'd be picketers and protesters all over it. And if you've seen it, you know precisely why I say that. And if you haven't, you should.

With that, I shall leave you with a tune :

    Ahem.

    (singing)

White boys give me goose bumps
    White boys give me chills
    When they touch my shoulder
    That's the touch that kills!

Or, if that doesn't do it for you:

    Masturbaaaaaation can be fuuuuun....

Yeah, 'Hair' is definitely one of those shows that hasn't aged well. My university did a production a few years ago and it was pretty laughable. All these 20-something college student singing about the Vietnam war, burning draft cards, and dancing around in bell bottoms. Pretty silly stuff.

I haven't seen Resident Evil, but that's what usually happens when they try to cash in on a successful video game series (and the Resident Evil series has some GREAT games in it) and make a movie of it. They're usually terrible. They probably have references in there that only people who have played the games will get.

We borrowed Vanilla Sky (Tom Cruise) from my sister a few months ago. It was good up to a certain point, and then it never recovered. It was one of those movies where you just kind of look at each other when it's done and ask, "Did I miss something?"

I rented the Evil Dead series a few months ago. What a waste of time and money. I understand that this series has a cult following, but suffice it to say that I am NOT a member of that cult.

Dead Alive is another horror movie that is a waste of time and a video store membership.

Ocean's Eleven....has to be the worst one I have seen in some time. I think I watched all of 15 minutes of it. A waste of my time to click and buy on my Direct TV (lol lol). Another one that was not so hot was The Tuxedo, starring Jackie Chan. Usually he does a really hysterical film but this one was udderly stoooooopid. And Queen of the Damned with Aalyiah (did I spell that right??) was no great shakes for a vampire movie.....got quite boring. A movie that I did watch recently that was surprisingly good was The Four Feathers with Kate Hudson.....it was very incredible and the sound track beautiful. of course Sweet Home Alabama and The Banger Sisters were also fantastic........Reese Witherspoon does a fantastic job as a fashion designer in NYC that ran off from the deep south to create a new life for her self......Best line: (dog jumps in the lake) "OMG! Can he swim??!!?" (bubbles coming from the water, no site of dog) Her husband that she is trying to divorce says very nonchalantly, "Doesn't apear so." (dog all of a sudden resurfaces and Reese gasps with relief as hubby just smirks)....too damn funny. Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn show us all that the middle age gal still has spunk and sex appeal.......hilariously entertaining!

I am not embarrasses to admit this: I BOUGHT Vanilla Sky and had to watch it FIVE TIMES before the whole thing "clicked", and now it is one of my faves. I saw it in the theater, and was enthralled the entire time, until the very last part...then I was like, "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa the bleepitybleep???"

My daughter brought home "Darkness Falls", something about a rabid Tooth Fairy. I really loved the hospital scene, when the doctor, two nurses and the stars are running through this darkened hospital to escape from the Tooth Fairy, one of the nurses says "What about the patients? We have to evacuate them." And the hero says, "They'll be OK." When I started exploding at that one, my family threw me out of the room...
