The west wing question

  1. I saw an episode of the west wing last night, from series 3, and really enjoyed it, and plan to watch more.
but I was wondering is the first lady a disabled character?

I read some online episode guides from earlier series but there was no mention of her being in a wheel chair.

    Thanks.

    Whisper,

Nope. Actress Stockard Channing had broken her ankle hiking in real life, and she was already written into the next few episodes, so they changed the script to indicate that the First Lady had broken or sprained her ankle as well.

She's up and walking again now.

    Thanks,
I realise it was a bit of a strange question, but a friend recommended the series, and some web pages to catch up with previous episodes, but the wheel chair through me... at first I thouhgt it was the first lady who had MS.. but a good half an hour later of not doing my work. I realise it is the president.

Be careful. The show is very addicting.
I have never been one to put a tv show over real life.
But now I wn't even answer my telephone during West Wing!

    Enjoy!
