I just got off the phone from my Grandfather and I just realised something. For a man who is pushing 87 years of age - he's remarkably fit and active. Gets around everywhere on his own and is in good shape.
I am reminded of a reason why from an uncle of mine. According to him, the secret to a healthy body is Pranayam

I breathe through both nostrils at the same time.
Those exercises are the stretches I do after a workout at Curves. They are on the wall over the stretch out area. I do feel good after the workout and the stretching.
But, I've also had four children and I'm not sure there is anything you can do about that. :chuckle
Your grandpa is a MAN, afterall.

My mother and father-in-law are also in great shape. My fil is 81 and still works on his tractor doing farmwork and also has a AI business (artificial insemination of cows). Very active, both of them. Not overweight either. Mil has a beautiful garden.
I think the answer to a supple body and longevity is getting up at 4:30 a.m. to milk cows, raise sheep, till the ground and grow crops.
Maybe just an active and interesting life . . .
