The "Friends of Allnurses.com" Video is Finished! !

  1. Happy Holidays, folks!

I just finished the Holiday Video for the "Friends of Allnurses.com"!

Unfortunately, you'll need a fairly fast modem hook up and "Windows Media Player" to view this video. The file is over 4 MB's in size, which is fairly big.

I just added and revised an ".rm" file that's can be viewed by the RealOne Player. It, too, is a big file. . . but about 2.5 MB's in size verses 4 MB's. The quality is not as good as the ".wmv" file . . . but it gives an O. K. representation of the video and music.

So. . . there are now two files: a ".wmv" file (played by a Windows Media Player) and a ".rm" file (played by a RealOne Player). Hope more people can view the video now!

Just click on the link below. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll find another link to the videos. Click on the link best supported by your computer and software. . . and enjoy!

Happy Holidays, folks, with warm regards!

    Ted

    P. S. I want to thank the people who emailed/"snail-mailed" me their photos. My apologies if I did not include you "allnurses.com" User-ID. I didn't because . . . I didn't know what it was. . . . If you want me to include your User ID, please PM me your ID and I'll make the change. . . so that people will recognize you.

Peace and Love to you all!

You might need to upgrade your version of Window's Media. You can also save the file and play it from your computer, which will enable you to view it if your modem isn't fast enough. I'll have a Real Video version hopefully by tomorrow.

    I might even include a Quicktime version as well. . . .

Keep on checking this thread. I'll update it as time permits.

I am afraid to download the latest media player as it says it is unsupported. That sounds bad. Is it?

What Internet multimedia player are you using? There are several out there. Right now, believe it or not, I'm rendering the video to an ".rm" file (Real One Player). I also will probably include other file like ".mov" or ".mpg". Mosts players read these type of compressed video files.

If you have Windows XP, go to their "Update" site and allow to be scanned for updates (I do this all the time. . . I just love giving in to Bill Gates. . . He's my master. . . but that's another topic for another thread for another time!). The scan will see if you need your Windows Medial Player updated.

You may also have certain functions turned off on your web-browser that might prevent you from viewing the video.

Maybe your modem capabilities isn't able to handle "faster" information?

Hand in there. . . . hopefully I'll have something posted for you to view.

    Ted
