The Propaganda Remix Project: Messages from the Ministry of Homeland Security

  1. This website was created by an ex-Army Ranger and this guy has a great sense of humor! In the face of so much intolerance for dissent in this country right now, it was good to laugh about some of the things going on in the name of patriotism.

propaganda is usefull when you don't have anything intelligent to say. Hey, how about we order some of those t-shirts and wear them to a support our troops rally?.....after all, you DO
    support our troops.....yep.

I sure do, and always will

    And my checkbook proves it.

And propaganda isn't only for the protesters...anyone can use it, and does.

I know a few army Rangers. I seriously doubt this person's claim to being part of that esteemed group is valid. In fact, I got a T-Shirt from one of them last week -- shows a big old gun (I am not privy to different rifles) on one side of it and the statement "Terrorist: Give Peace a Chance or I Will Kill You" on the other side in big bold letters. And no, I don't wear it. But I think it more aptly states the attitude of the army Rangers I know.

And so since all Rangers must think alike or they can't be apart of the same group..???

I guess none of the veterans who are apart of the Veteran against the war are veterans either. And the none of the widows, or children had veterans they lost either, because they do don't agree with this war

This is a sad commentary indeed!

There are many veterans, active duty military, dependents and widows who do support this war. Please don't lump us into the anti-war category.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of people who claim to have been something that they are not.

Many people claim many things to make themselves more credible. Army Rangers are an elite corp and many people like to misrepresent themselves as being part of such a group. Do they all think alike? No, but they were trained alike. In my experience this particular group are fircely loyal to the commander in chief and our United States due to that training. And Rangers are very, very well trained.

Bear in mind, they have sworn an oath to the commander in chief which does NOT become invalid becuase their service has stopped.

So to me, anyone blindly believing that just because someone "claims" to be an army Ranger is a sad thing especially when said "army ranger" shows such blatent disrepect. It makes me question their affiliation. After all, this is the internet and anyone could start up a website and claim anything at all.

If it will make you feel better, he left the Army because he admitted was no longer able to subscribe to the mindset which you describe.

It's funny how if someone doesn't like the message, they have to try to cast aspersions on the messenger. :chuckle
