hmmm....i haven't made a new year's resolution yet that i've kept. so....might as well give it another shot to see if i have grown up any since all the failed resolutions from years gone by. :d

one of my new year's resolution's is to get rich and stay rich. to become an entrepreneur...be my own boss so i never am in the situation i am in now. to continue strengthening my faith and trust in my father god. to share of my abundance with those less fortunate than myself. to never be homeless and in debt again.

My biggest one would have to be pay off as much of my debt as I can and try not to rack up anymore unnecessarily.

I also have at least 50 more pounds I would like to lose. I'm watching what I eat, but I need to make a conscious effort to go to the fitness room at work more often to do some toning.

Spend more real quality time with my kids as well as my husband.

One I'll keep working on but probably not accomplish is winning Powerball.

I think this is more than enough for me and most are achievable.

    Here goes mine:

The most important resolution for me this upcoming year is to modify my emotions with my spouse. I think that sometimes I can bee too sentimental and sensitive with my family and life that he has to pick up the burden. I don't want him to get tired of me, so I know I need to change that. I need to deal with things on my own without dragging him with me.

Secondly, I want to kick off the year with a positive attitude and outlook for the year ahead as far as my studies go. I promise myself that from now on, I will do everything to create the right balance between nursing school, work and my dh. I would love to find a good job in healthcare. I am ready for a change.

Lastly, I need to do a better job in taking care of my health and that of my dh. I promise to cook healthier meals and hit the outdoors as much as possible. I will use our mountain bikes in the spring and hit the beautiful trails. I need to get into shape.

Wishing everyone that their resolutions come true.

    Well, here goes nothing...

    1. I have lost 53 pounds since June 6, I resolve to lose another 100 this year to get down to a size 6! (I'm 5'11)

    2. Instead of living paycheck to paycheck, I resolve to start saving 10% of all earnings in a seperate account.

    3. I resolve to exercise 3 times a week, even if it's just a walk around the block.

    4. I resolve to get my house organized and sparkling clean.

    5. I resolve to cut my smoking back to being at work only, and no more than 3 per shift.

This year my resolution is to do my resolutions

    Also:

    1. I will exercise and lose weight. I will lower my cholesterol. Right now (please don't yell--it's hereditary) it's about 500. Didn't think it could get that high, could ya?

    2. I will stop looking for a man. They're scum. I will be happy by myself.

    3. I will do at least one thing to challenge me. I want to get my pilot's license and skydive.

    4. I will not complain.

    5. I will learn a new language. Right now I'm trying to learn French.

    6. I will start scrimping and saving so I can go visit the child I sponsor in Kenya. In his last letter he asked me to come visit. How can I turn down a 5 year old?

    7. I will volunteer.

    8. I will learn to accept my faults and my diseases. Crohn's and UC I cannot change-- but I will smile even though it hurts (alot).

    OMG that's alot of resolutions!

Quit smoking before my NICU placement starts

Learn to be okay with being alone (in public, not like a recluse!)

Learn to be happy w/o a man

Flatten tummy. Seriously, I'm exactly at my "ideal" weight according to charts, my waist is tiny, but lord do I have a belly on me...

    My resolutions:

To maintain the healthy lifestyle that I have started - I've never stayed with anything this long before (since August) and I want to continue to be a healthier person.

To continue losing weight - I am starting to feel so good and I want to keep that up.

To ride my horse more often and to spend more time outside being active with my kids.

To maintain good grades throughout the year - especially next semester while I finish up my pre-rerqs!

Mine are usually the same: improve diet and exercise, and cut down or eliminate caffeine, do more yoga and meditation.

I'd also like to stay in school without taking a semester off.

I have only one resolution, but it actually turns into five.

This resolution is, of course, to get my priorities in life straightened out, which means: 1) Stop worrying so much about making money, and get the heck OUT of hospital nursing once and for all.......which should reduce my stress levels, which in turn should help me 2) get my weight down, 3) get my blood pressure down, 4) become more physically active so I can 5) enjoy the wonderful life I've been given.

I've been meaning to tell you . . . that avatar is so . . . so . . . distracting . . . . Marla for goodness sake - have pity and mercy on us old women

Or is this just for Renee's benefit?

p.s. To address the subject . . I don't do resolutions. And with that I'm going to force myself into the basement and onto the treadmill.
