I confess, I am a smoker. I know it's a nasty, smelly, and expensive habit, not to mention the health factor, but even after having tried many times, I still smoke. I guess I am somewhat shocked by the number of medical personel that do smoke. Where I work, I would say it's pretty equal. I have given up all my other bad habits, except spending money, so I am hopeful that I will soon be able to kill this demon too. Shar, congrats on your success so far and please don't give up. Slipping up doesn't mean you have to start again. None of us are perfect so don't think you'd failed if you give in. Just keep working hard NOT to give in and someday you'll look back and realize you made it all the way. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!!!!

Flirting. I flirt with just about every female I work with on a regular basis, and occasionally ones i don't. It's harmless, and if I'm in a bad mood and don't make any sexual connotations everybody asks me if i'm not feeling good. Go figure. Good thing my wife doesn't talk to anybody i work with.

Quit smoking 5 days ago! Quit Cold Turkey. Only way to go. How long will it last? Probably until the "shoe drops"
I think I will put the scrolling marquee on my computer reciting the Serenity Prayer!

Must confess I too smoke, but at least I do it alone...a true "closet puffer". But I once worked with a nurse that was constantly DEFLATING....if he wasn't passing gas (and not sayng excuse me) he was letting go with the horrid bullfrog belches ( at least you could hear them coming). I finally ask him if he really had a GI problem or was he just plain rude. He claimed "neither, it just happens". But I swear he could have ran his own tire inflating business.

I must confess that I too smoke! I think that's one of the things that kept me sane during nursing school. I only smoke about a pack or two a week. Myu husband has threatened divorce if I smoke when I get pregnant so i'll quit then for good. Myfather quit a 30 year smoking habit by going cold turkey!

Well I'll confess also. I blow alot of wind myself but I do seem to control it at work. (THANK GOD!!!) I wouldn't want to be rude or anything. But when someone else lets one rip that's more embarassing to me. I mean when they know you heard them and they say something like,"OOPS!" What do YOU say??? I usually say,"hey, some somethings we just can't control!" Such is life... Flatus isn't a nasty habit, it's a bodily function that at which sometimes one cannot control and I think I just embarrassed myself by writing about it!LLLLLLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But, I do smoke and I wish I could quit. Don't they have any places where they could lock you up and throw away the key in order for you to quit??? I did stop for a week once, but I was such a b#!*+ I couldn't even live with myself...
