The bad ole gallbladder, she is GONE~

  1. Had my lap choley today and it went GREAT, despite all my nerves and freaking out. The surgeon said it was really inflamed and enlarged and a good thing its' out. I am already home and in bed now. Best part is, the MDA took great care of me; no nausea, no vomiting (a first for me after anesthesia).

Just wanted to let you guys know, it went well, and I should be feeling much better very soon~ I am so relieved and happy this is now behind me, after 2 years' misery, I feel like celebrating!

That's good news. I thought of you today and am happy to hear everything went so well. Don't go back to work too soon. Rest up and take care of yourself for a while to avoid complications. (You know that, but I wanted to say it anyway.)

    Take care. Enjoy your recouperation!

Deb, I'm so sorry I didn't know you were having surgery!!! However, I am so glad it was successful and that you're feeling so much better. Do take care of yourself, and keep in touch, OK?

    Hugs to you! :icon_hug:

Careful with the 'celebration' --- but DO have one

Glad you got that done Deb!

I'm so glad to hear all went well...........I knew it would, you've been in my thoughts and prayers, and I've had a good feeling all day that you got through things OK. Yes, you'll be a little sore for a few days, but it goes away quickly. And hey, lucky you, having almost four weeks off---enjoy every minute of it, and let dh and the kids pamper YOU a bit!

You are going to be SO happy you had this done, Deb........just go easy on fats and fiber for awhile, both of 'em tend to cause gas and/or diarrhea and it's NOT pleasant. Otherwise, just kick back and enjoy the rest; you deserve it!!

    Take care, sweetie~

Awww Deb I am so glad things went well for you. I am also glad you took plenty of time off to recover. To many folk try to go back to quick and end up sore and miserable.
    Take care

Oh I am incredibly sore today. I will be careful not to overdo. I am just so so so relieved. Knowing that I DID have a sick gallbladder, not removal of a healthy organ (I had zero stones). KNowing my troubles will be over and that it went SO well, I can't say how happy that has made me. Oh and the "celebrating" will be limited to warm tea, a hot water bottle on the sore spots and watching some nice trashy TV, which is something I never had time to do. I am just so darn happy today, if not very sore.

I didn't know you were having surgery today!! I'm so glad it went well, and that you're home safe and cozy! Do pamper yourself, and I hope the postop pain is manageable, and you improve every day. You sound very well, I'm pleased! Bless you!
