Suesquatch, actually no it doesn't sound poetic, it sounds silly to me. Heresy on my part I know, but that has always irritated me. Why people want to use a dead language one day of the week when they don't use it every day is just a little minor teeny tiny pet peeve. I went to a church that used gender inclusive modern language but we occasionally out of the hymnal a "thee or thou" would pop up and it bugged me for some reason. It's funny to hear a preacher on TV talk in modern language and then bow his head and say one "thee".
I guess to it's what you're raised on and I respect the tradition that is respresents. Like I said it's a very insignificant pet peeve.
