Thanks be to God and the love of my friends, I'm back home.

  1. Hello my beloved Allnurses family. I am currently writing this from the comfort of my own bedroom, and I'm so thankful to be home. This all started at 5:30 Friday evening when my dad and I went out to dinner. On the way to the restaurant I suddenly experienced the most excruciating chest pain I have ever felt in my life. It was a nine out of ten on the pain scale. It also moved into my jaw and my teeth even ached. After about 10 mins. the pain backed off to about a 4 or 5. I tried to shake it off and enjoy the meal, but I was miserable. So, we both went home. I took a hot bath and lied down in my bed trying to relax to no avail. Later that night Duckie called me. It was 1:00 AM my time, but we're used to talking late at night. She was adamant that I go in the hospital to get checked out. She was right you know. The pain got to the point where I couldn't even ignore it or stand it. I couldn't even lie down on my back in bed. I felt air hungry when I did. So I finally called 911 and Troy Township EMS came and transported me to St. Charles Hospital in Oregon,Ohio. Iwas given 02 and Nitro on the way there as well as 0.9 TKO IV . Got to the ER and called Duckie. Oh guys, she was so torn up over this. She was crying so hard, she could hardly speak. It tore my insides out. I love her so much, and she has already had so much pain in her life, that to here her cry over me nearly killed me. I comforted her over the phone as best I could and said: Sherry you must believe me history will NOT REPEAT ITSELF. You will NOT LOSE ME. She finally had to take a Xanax to calm down. Her love as wel as all of your love totally amazes me and nourishes me every day. I thank God every day for all of the love and friendship I have found on this BB. I only wish I could meet you all and hold all of you in my arms and thank you all for loving me and holding me close to your hearts. The good news is cardiac enzymes were negative, and my EKG'S were all perfect. I did get a perscription for PRN nitro. I also must finish my stress test on Wed. as a outpatient. I had to arrange it this way so I didn't miss any clinical preceptor time. It waould just be too much for me to make up a preceptor day on the day I graduate. NO WAY JOSE. So I will finish my stress test on Wed. and let you know thw results. I love all of you so much and your friendship and love over these weeks and months have meant the world to me. And what can I say about Duckie? Her love for me just blows me away. I'm so looking forward to meeting her and her husband Jimmy when they drive drive up from Indiana for my graduation from LPN school. Well I'm getting tired. Gotta sign off for now. I tahnk each and every one of you for your prayers and good wishes. How I love you all. Thank God I'm home, feeling better, and that I have you in my life. Warrior Woman.:kiss

I'm not your mamma, but I'll pretend that I'm your sister and I'm gonna be blunt. You take care of yourself from now on! We love you and we want you to stay around for a long time. You aren't gonna be any good to this family, or your real family if you don't take it easy and care for yourself! Get the rest you need.

    Take care girl! Adrienne.

P.S. Wow Ducky you are a sweetheart and thank god for you! When I first heard of yours and Theresa's wonderful friendship, I assumed that maybe you were co-workers or lived in the same city or something. But to send all that love and support from another state! Wow, you are a marvel and I hope we can be there for you if you need us!
