I was forwarded this article by a friend who was reading this paper for another reason. The article is long but scary. I am simply posting to share information.

Lovely..........I leave for Mexico on Sunday on board an American airlines flight, and that story will be stuck in my head. Sounds fishy though. I can't fathom how their behaviour could be ignored. I'm probably wrong but it sounded a little fictitious. Maybe its just what I want to believe.

I think it's better to do what Israel does in her planes/airports. They really don't profile per se. They look for behaviors that don't fit.
The case that stands ut for me is the one where a pregnant woman, in later stages of pregnancy came with a 1 way ticket, yet her destination was not her home. No family there. She was detained. She was indeed a would be terrorist. I can't remember whether she had a suitcase with a bomb or one strapped to her. Profiling would have missed her completely.
I personally believe we be playing catch up if we just target one group. Terrorists can recruit women, there's also a large Muslim population in Asia. So strike the strickly mideastern stuff. I really believe if they think we are just targeting one group, they will mix it up. We'll be behind, always trying to catch up if we do profiling on a narrow basis.
