I just wanted to let my fellow professionals know that my heart goes out to all of you working during these last few days in the NY and DC hosptials. I cannot imagine the fear you have been through, not only in not knowing what is coming in the door next, but the fear you have had for your own families. As so many nurses are romantically involved with policeman, firemen and paramedics, I sincerely hope that none of you have experienced any personal losses. I also hope that those of you who have been on the "front lines" will have a chance to de-stress after this crisis is over. This incident has truly shaken this "young" generation. I am 40 years old and have never been through a "war" ( I was too young to be affected by Vietnam). I know that I am certainly extremely shaken and wondering how this will affect all of us personally and professionally. God be with each and every one of you.
