Tell us something we don't know!!!

  1. For instance...

I'm a huge fan of heavy metal

    I'm now blonde

    I'm very tall

I've recently developed an interest in personal fitness

    OK. Your turn.

Don is disgusting (and I don't say that because I'm jealous of his discipline with the personal fitness program, risk-taking in changing his hair color, secure in his self-knowledge and insight re: changing the hair color, or tallness [I myself am vertically-challenged].).

    Ummmmmmmmmmmm, let's see.

Man, I think I've just about told all my secrets here, lol!

Oh, here's something: my ears aren't pierced. ( neither is anything else, lol!!! )

I play the violin by ear, thanks to my dear grandpa

I am a 100% loyal to the death democrat (you guys probably already knew that)

Something no one here knows: the love of my life is serving a tour in Iraq (I don't talk about it, too upsetting) He's being a gentleman and doesn't want to pursue a full blown relationship overseas so I'm patiently waiting (and he is too) for his orders home. He says I'm free to date, which I haven't. Love him tooooo much.

I haven't seen my natural hair color in years and all I remember is that it's a certain shade of red.

I shot a gun for the first time today! And hit my target!!!

If you want really personal don't read this:

I was molested by a classmate in first grade

I can be flaky at times. I don't know what I want. I want everything.

My dream: to fly F-16's for the Navy on an aircraft carrier

I never cry. Never. Ever. I keep my emotions bottled up. People think I'm cold and distant but it's how I handle the horrible things that I see at work and on tv. I have to stay focused.

I gave my entire life savings to the Red Cross.

    1. For years I battled with self-image issues. Still do, sometimes... but I'm mostly comfortable with who I am today. :spin:

    2. Quit smoking for good over a year ago. Smoked for 9 years (at one point it was a pack and half a day habit).

    3. For a while, I used to have hair till my shoulders, meatchop side burns and played the drums. Nicknamed "John" after the drummer from The Doors by adoring fans... .er..., I mean friends. *

    4. I usually don't step outside without my Fedora. I own a wind up pocket watch. If I'm wearing suits, I insist that they gotta be old fashioned, double breasted, 2 button 3-piece suits *

    5. I used to shave with a straight blade razor till I lost it when changing apartments. Today, I use one of 'em single-blade double edged ones. I cannot (and refuse to) use an electric shaver. Dry shaves suck! :uhoh21: *

    6. Most of the music I listen to is from the 60s and 70s. *

    7. I've never met my paternal grandfather. He died the year my brother was born.
    8. I once dyed my hair a flaming blond-orange-red after losing a silly bet.

    9. I was t-boned by a bus while on my motorcycle. I walked away without a scratch - the bike was totaled. I was not wearing a helmet! Even so, if you gave me a choice between a Ferarri and a little 100cc motorcycle, I'd pick the motorcycle

    10. I once lost a pint and half of blood from a hit and run accident (I was crossing the street on my bicycle) that carved open my left ankle. Required 28 stitched to close the wound over my protruding bone... all done without the benefit of even a local anesthetic. I was in 7th grade then and was so traumatized by the accident that I didn't leave home for 4 months and it was a good 10 months before I ever rode my bicycle again.

    11. Have donated plenty of blood but never received any. Incidentally, my birth certificate claims I am AB- when in actuality I am B-. Parents thought I was AB- and didn't find out any different till I had a blood test done when I turned 18 :uhoh21:

That's good for now, I think

    cheers,
    Roy

*: Ever get the feeling I was perhaps born in the wrong "era" ? :chuckle

Well I don't post very often and when I do it's usually in the Pre-nursing forum.....so y'all don't know much as it is. But heck, I'll play

    * I play the hammered dulcimer (not incredibly well, but I play it with great joy<smile>).

    * I used to play various upper brass instruments and marched in an open class drum and bugle corps called the Garfield Cadets and was fortunate to march 5 years with them.

    * I've recently discovered that I have dark brown hair (color and highlights were one of the first things to be cut from my budget once I quit my salary job to go to school).

*I teach Sunday School to 4th and 5th graders every other week.

    Peace,
    Cathie
