Tear jerkers

  1. Just for fun...what movies to you "love to watch" that make you cry?

One of mine is Sense and Sensiblity - I sob at the ending EVERY time I see it. Some movies I can get beyond the tears after the first viewing...but not that one.

    ok...your turn

The Joy Luck Club. Impossible to watch this without completely losing it, several times, especially towards the end.

Ghost and believe it or not Harry and the Hendersons, my daughter watched the movie when she was about 3 and would cry everytime John Lithgow would yell at Harry to go away and leave (even though it was for his own good). Watching her would make me cry too, so now when I just see the movie it makes me weep. Guess I'm like Pavlov's dogs.

OH yeah!! Ghost (how could I forget that one?) and Joy Luck Club (especially hard if you have a new baby in the house).

When Titanic was in theaters I was pregnant...sobbed uncontrollably when the lady tucked her kids in and when the baby was dead in the water at the end...people were "looking" at me - I was truly sobbing.

There's nothing better then a good cry-sometimes you just need that catharsis. In addition to the aforementioned I have to add City of Angels-from beginning to end..And The Sixth Sense-in particular the scene in which the boy and his mom are stuck in traffic and he tells his mom the truth and that he sees grandmom and she is so proud of his mom....I saw that in the theater and thought I would need to be slapped....
