Tattoos, anybody??

  1. What tattoos do you people have out there? Anything funny, creative, or spontaneous? I have a very colorful butterfly in the middle of my lower back and would like more, but I wouldn't know what to get. I also just got my navel pierced...pretty darn cool.

I've got a rose on my lower ankle that I got during my first year as a lifeguard(quite a few years ago). I've been wanting to get one on my lower back, but I feel I need to lose some weight first!

How about the cartoon skunk Pepe Le Pew?...I have him tatooed on my rear end with his tail in the air and the fumes visible....I thought rather appropriate for a guy.....

Check out the fantasy art of Amy Brown...geez, can't remember the site name right off...will post it later. She has some GREAT fairies and dragons. Not the typical cherubic or sex goddess type fairies but the kind I'd imagine there may really be .

I have a rather large woodland fairy tattoo'd on my left outer calf from her art work...it's her work entitled "Something Wilde" but I had the colors changed. The art work is in browns and autumn type colors that wouldn't show up on skin too good so I used that design but with the colors of her "Blue Fairy" artwork. It's really cool. I also have a black fairy on my upper right thigh that is "in relief"--the shadows are colored in, leaving the fairy evident in the white skin (my kids just stare at it trying to "see it"). It was my "test tattoo" to see if I could stand it.

Thinking about getting a third...but my husband would definitely think I'm crazy.

I have a cadacus on my right shoulder (you know the medical symbol with the winged staff and 2 snakes wrapped around it) it's a little different as one snake is biting the other, and the staff looks like a stick instead of a golden rod (huh huh huh, i said rod) I'm going to have a skull impaled on the rod one of these days, just to be a little different. I want to get somthing on my right shoulder, was thinking of my family crest but i don't have one, was also thinking of having an Eagle holding a scrool that reads "Live free or die" or a dragon ******** on my shoulder with it's neck and head coming down and wrapping around my arm. I also have 2 earingings in my left ear and one in my right. Had a fu man chu but i shaved it off the other day, I'm kind of a closet freak. And yes they do use needles, but it give you a wicked endorphin buzz for a day or 3

I have several so far. My first was a peace symbol on the back of my shoulder. Next I got an ankh, which most people think is a celtic cross, right above the small of my back. My third tattoo took 40 hours to complete and it's a tribal design with a really nifty butterfly in the center. It stretches from hip to hip and from about my second lumbar vertebrae (right under the ankh), to the coccyx (and believe me...that part hurt!). Then my sister and I got matching tattoos that surround our bellybuttons. They're sort of a colorful kind of sun looking thing. I also have a small moon and star below my ankle. I love tattoos! I also have 22 piercings and would love to get more, but probably won't.

For some great fantasy art (like the tattoo on my calf) go to www.amybrownart.com. I have her artwork "Something Wilde" on my calf.

I don't have any yet, but am considering getting one. I am being force moved by the USAF for the umpteenth time, and am thoroughly disillusioned I am done being the good little officer's wife (actually think I was done loooooooong ago) and want the military establishment to know it. So I am gonna get a little donkey (thinking of using that cutie from "Shrek") looking over his shoulder, with a pair of red lips on his buttcheek. When they ask me what it means, I'm gonna tell 'em they can kiss my Democratic a$$

I don't know about 90, but I've seen plenty of big burly WWII veterans with tattoos... and they're always the patients that cry and faint when you try to start their IVs

Hello everyone, I got my first tattoo 3 years ago, now am considering a 2nd and finishing the one i have. I went in 3yr ago, with all intentions of getting a small one on my butt cheek, and ended up leaving with a 6 1/2" fairy on my left shoulder blade (Ouch). Mine like Zee-Rn's is sort-of in-relief, not colored, but shaded in certain areas, with greying at the edges, her name is "allisa" and she is a custom design. She is standing on a rose stem with her foot holding on the stem, with a smal dress just barely touching her, there was more leaves and stems that could have been added, but at the time, i decided to just do the rose stem and leaves, now i would like to complete it, as well as get another one, either on the small of my back, or ankle. they can be quite a conversation getter at times..
