Good morning/Night...Night person here I have been reading the forum threads for a while now. I am not new but I still feel new. Have not had a lot of interaction with anyone yet. I have a lot to say though, and I will post when I do have something to say. I love these little daily "Hello" threads...They are refreshing. Just wanted to say hello and say the donuts look yummy...

Good morning all you wonderful folk.

(((((((Bethin)))))))- Going to get that 2nd opinion sounds like the best bet. Second best is the trial study. At least you have options.

(((((((tn)))))))- Did you get some good sleep?

Siri, my friend, have you heard anymore about your mil? How's your dh handling the stress? His sister? Sil?

Cherish- Thanks for starting the thread this morning. Yep. Thank goodness it's Friday. Good luck with your project. Your breakfast was yummy.

DD- Have a good day at work. At least you can have the thought that you'll be able to enjoy the beautiful weather after work. Have you any plans to do anything while you're out?

Hi Tweety. Is this a work day for you? I love your "Karate Kid Tweety".

jmg, do you have any special plans for the day? I hope you have a good one.

Hi abu. Welcome to the family. We can be silly but you've got good caring support here. Come often, sit back, drink some coffee and join right in.

I've got to go to the bank first thing it opens. Thank goodness for payday. Then it's some house cleaning. Yuck! Maybe I'll read my library book instead? It's going to be a lovely day today. You all have a wonderful God blessed day.

good morning all. And it is a good morning - I *slept* last night! The whole night. Imagine that!

My thumb is feeling considerably better. I may even get a chance to work on a baby quilt I threw together last weekend. My oldest son's childhood friend became a daddy and every baby needs a new baby quilt, right?

Procedure went fine. Surgery is a no go since insurance won't pay for it. They would only pay if my dx was colitis and the dr changed my dx from colitis with indeterminate crohn's to indeterminate colitis with crohn's. And now since I have a definite dx of crohn's and the FDA approved humira for use in crohn's pts I could receive it...........if insurance would pay for it which they won't. There's really only 2 things I can do: get a second opinion or try a clinical trial with no guarantee I'd be receiving the medication. To do the trial I would not be able to take any meds for 6 months. I'm at the end of my rope. I can't take this crap anymore.

Glad your thumb is feeling better. What did the dr say?

Since you're doing a baby quilt, would you mind finishing four that I started but never finished? I have two that are almost done for my 2.5 year old nieces and I started two more for the ones that are on the way. I'm thinking they're going to be college graduation presents.

    Good evening from me!
Bethin, so sorry to read your news. (((hugs))) Hope things take a turn for the better soon.
G'day to everyone, hope you enjoy your friday.
We've had some much needed rain here, thankfully.
It's late and I'm off to bed!
    Take care!
    Catch you later!
    Cheers...............

Mmmm, espresso! That outta get my motor movin'!

Bethin - I would definitely get a 2nd opinion. Did they take a tissue sample to verify the Crohn's? I have a good friend who is now on permanent disability because her Crohn's was not diagnosed for YEARS. Pathology finally did the job. I never knew there could be vision changes (i.e. near blindness!), all sorts of nasty things related to it. It can be tricky and not be something you want on your permanent med record if you can avoid it. I'm so sorry, I know it sucks to have to go thru all this! But after watching my friend, I really want to encourage you to press on and find out for sure. It's another one of those 'early treatment is best' issues. Is there anyone who specializes in such things in your area? Anyone you know who could point you to the right person?
    Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
