swimmer's ear?

  1. I was away at Casino this weekend. Spent more time in the pool than gambling. Can't seem to get water out of my ears. Am afraid it will go into swimmers ear. What do you guys do?

Pour about a capful of rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) into the ear and turn your head up for a few seconds, and then let it drain over the sink. This will evaporate or displace the water in your ear. It works for me every time. If you go to the drug store for "swimmers ear" medicine, it will contain mostly alcohol, but for around $6.00. Buy you some alcohol, it's a lot cheaper. take care. Darby

Alcohol's great. I've also used hydrogen peroxide when alcohol didn't cut it.
