Super Bowl food facts

  1. In the spirit of cooperation, I will do my part to consume at least some of these snacks tomorrow (even if I don't care much about the game!)

I will be sitting in Anatomy class tomorrow.

There is actually one vegetable on the list: avocados, the prime ingredient in guacamole. According to Hass, the avocado people, if you filled Miami's Dolphin Stadium football field with the number of avocados that will be eaten in guacamole dip on the big day (about 53 million pounds of them), they'd make a carpet from one goalpost to the other 20 feet deep.

We don't do chicken wings, too much of a pain to eat. We take skinless drumsticks and make them in our favorite 'wing' flavors.

My favorite has always been to use dry ranch dressing powder, coat the outside, fry, then recoat with the ranch again. Mmmmmmm.

I really like buffalo wings, but all that butter is a thing of the past for me. Instead, we cube chicken breast, skewer it, coat with teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds and grill it. It's pretty good.

I dated a football player in high school. I married a football player whose team won the state championship. Both my older sons played football. I sat through many games in the snow. You have to learn all about football when you date, marry, and give birth to football players.

We rarely do parties . . . .we are party poopers.

I like the ideas about chicken wings without the wings. I think they are a pain to eat too.

    Go Colts!
