good morning, tweety. have a good day at work.

and 'hi' to everyone else yet to post.....since tweety didn't offer any breakfast, i guess i should but, sorry, just not in the mood for cooking. hopefully someone more industrious will be along shortly.

i've been very successful in procrastinating so far this weekend. have tons to do, but no one can put things off as well as i can! didn't even manage to make it out to buy dogfood - had to scramble around to find some people food to give them. not that they minded that a bit.

gotta get off the computer now so i can manage to get some sleep, in order to be bright-eyed and ready to get things accomplished today.

hope we all have a wonderful sunday.:wink2: goodnight.

    Good morning, all.

Nothing much going on with me except studying and reading and studying again. Nursing I is going very well so far.

I am headed to my parents today to spend some time with my dad. Since the weather is supposed to be nice, I'm hoping to take him to the canal trail near their house for a walk. I also want to practice my assessment on him since my next graded skills lab is Tues.

I hope you all have a great day.

    cheers!

    Morning all

Still plunking away at a paper....first draft done, emailed it off to a friend to review....now working on revisions.

DH is outside enjoying the beautiful fall weather...I'm chained to the computer.... . Going to give myself a break here in a few....read the paper and enjoy a cup of HOT coffee....lol....

Hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday.....Siri....are you feeling better today??

    Mornin' y'all!

    Same ol' 'stuff' 'round here!
Siri.....get back to being your self quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rn2be_nj, good luck on your assessment check-off. I don't think mine is until the the 29th. (End of week 5)....but then again, it could be the end of week 4, or at the beginning of week 5....LOL

I swear, there is a plan, but they don't have a problem with changing it at the last minute! "They own you" is so true! Friday we had to stay a couple of hours later because we had to wait until the instructor made copies/ate lunch, then had to fill out all the paper work for the VA clinical. lol (It was applications for employment....why...I don't know!)

Oh well....it's done, and my SS card was right where I thought it was when I got home and started looking for it. See.....there is a light at the end of the tunnel. HAHAHAHA (Miracles often come in small packages.) :chuckle

I have some left over biscuits that I told Lil' Miss Kaylee that we may could use to feed the ducks at the lake. It would only take a few minutes, but it all depends on the weather. It looks like it wants to come a downpour!

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Mornin', rninme. Yeah, gotta start thinking 'bout supper early on. Becomes a challenge sometimes. Normally, we grill on Sunday evenings, but I don't think neither want that after the food at the course past couple days. So, light might be the word? Of course, will get hungry later (don't cha hate that) and then will wish had something good to eat.

I thought about baking some sweet taters. Haven't had that in a while. But, what to have with that?? Decisions, decisions.

    You have a good day!!

Hey, Fun. Thanks for boosting me onward. I think I'm feeling more like me. Time will tell. I have missed ya'll terribly. Don't wish to elaborate now, but so much has happened past couple weeks.

Know that I've been reading ya'lls posts though and try to stay in touch by sending postivie vibes and a couple prayers everyone's way.

So, I see that Texas won yesterday???? Arkansas did, too ----> Blow me down!!

    Morning, All:
On my third cup of coffee as I write this post. Have spent the last hour looking for work, sending off cover letters and resumes to prospective employers. I even sent one to a Vet's office, who is looking for a Receptionist. I'm not picky at this point, having been out of work for almost a month. In the meantime, my sister and BIL, who have become financially dependent on me for my income are hurting. I warned her when she begged me to move in with them seven months ago not to count on my support, but she insisted. When she tried to blame me yesterday for their growing financial ills, my BIL told her to hush. I'm just living for the day when I am once again financially capable of living on my own and can move out. Tired of playing the Heavy and listening to her b****.

    Good morning, everyone.

I'm like Csemgr1 looking through the want ads. I am being picky though and that could be part of my problem. How do people fall into jobs like my friend's friend? She works in a free-standing surgi center making $34/hr as a preop telephone caller. Yes she's an RN. She calls scheduled patients before the surgery as a reminder of the pre-op instructions and confirming insurance.

Anyway teen daughter is getting out of hand again. Honestly I don't know what to do with her anymore. She's beyond any kind of control. We try to discipline her and she just leaves.

    Anyway have a wonderful day,everyone.

I would LOVE to have a job like your friend's friend (rolling eyes in envy! ). My problem, even though I have had years of experience in dealing with insurance companies (and working for one myself), is that these offices want experienced front office people to begin with. I mean, geez, I've had more than one job multitasking in which I was constantly answering the phone, while dealing with staffing issues, etc. at the same time. How much more difficult could confirming insurance coverage and calling patients be? I think it is like everything else today: you've got to know somebody to get in the door.

I wish I had some words of wisdom regarding your daughter. I raised a teenager too, and even though I rarely had any disciplinary problems with him and he turned out to be a responsible adult with three children, it wasn't easy. Sometimes the only thing you can do is to allow them to leave..and let them find out for themselves that the world is not their oyster.

Morning everyone- I'm new to being a Premium Member. Decided to become one, just in appreciation to all the wonderful posters on this site who have helped me with the kind tips/feedback/advice they share.

I plan to spend today to get my brand new Macbook up and running. Just received it in the mail last week and have yet to turn it on! (and yep, the posters on this site helped me with THAT too...) Then tonight I go to stay over my daughter's house because I babysit my brand new grandson every Monday morning for just that one day per week...weird to be a new RN and new Grandma at almost exactly the same time- but what joy!!
