  1. Greetings everyone and to SUNDAY! :wink2:

    I've been MIA again!

    1) The computer failed me BIG time!
Has cost a small fortune to hire a professional to fix things and get me back online. Thankfully, all seems to be going fine now. :typing

    2) The thing I've been hoping and praying wouldn't happen, has. Our DS has been deployed with our defence forces. We received the news on thursday. He left Australia on friday.

So, between the two, it's been a somewhat :stone 4-5 days.

I'm SO out of touch with everyone's news! Need to go and catch up!
Wishing all a safe, happy and healthy SUNDAY!

    Cheers...............

Oh Grace; as a mom of three, ages 15, 18 and 19, my heart hurts knowing how we fear for our children. Prayers that yours and all of his companions stay safe.

Good morning everyone. It's supposed to be a bit colder here today and the temperature to drop over the next few days. My "baby" won't mind leaving for Greece on Tuesday, that's for sure.

So, I think today will be last minute running around to get him ready to go. He has trouble sometimes with his ears on planes, so that means some antihistamines, plus all the extra stuff he needs for two weeks in the sun shine as he gets to explore the ancient and mythological history of his favourite place.

My printer is spewing out 216 pages of slides I have to reference. I'd already done it, but the client's client wanted it done a different way, so here we go again.

I have no idea what to do about my finger/thumb. I really don't want to go on oral antbx, but after a week of saline soaks and antibx ointment, and then yesterday I started trying Dakins soaks, I'm at just slightly better than status quo. I think it is getting a bit better. I no longer see stars even if you brush against it lightly, so that's progress, right?

Ok, off to find ink for my printer. I don't think it can do all those slides without a hiccup or two.

Hi, clemmm. Sounds as if you have your work cut out for you with the printing.

Have you seen a HCP about that thumb?

Your son is going to Greece for pleasure trip? Sounds wonderful.

No, no dr yet. Am trying to avoid PO antibx, plus, well, it's a thumb - believe it or not, I find it embarrassing to go in with an infected thumb.

Yes, DS's trip is for pleasure. He had the chance to go with 20 other boys from his school (he's in grade 10) and 2 teachers. DS saved up over 1000 dollars umpiring baseball games at 12-14 dollars a game, shovelling snow and mowing lawns. Have to reward that kind of determination! They're spending a few days in Italy and then to the wonders of Greece, like Olympia. Topping it off with a 4-day cruise of some of the Greek isles.

Well, hon, you just might have to break down and cure this thing. But, can't advise you one way or another, so will say ((((HUGS)))).

What a wonderful opportunity for your ds. WOW!!

He is an inspiration for other teens who want to do something like this. Raising his money like that. KUDOS to him!!!!!!!!!!
