good morning from "down under!" to sunday! :hatparty:

we've been up early and headed to the beach with the two dogs. it's a grey overcast morning here today, but didn't allow that to stop us going to the beach! the sea was choppy and as grey as the sky. there was a moderate wind blowing and a jacket was required. still, we embraced the morning in all it's glory and set a cracking pace along the shoreline. the dogs loved it and enjoyed a swim in the ocean as well as exploring all the seaweed which had washed up on the beach. the ocean reveals some intriguing treasures! as always, other beach walkers were warm and friendly, greeting each other as we passed by. the only wildlife visible today were the seagulls. no dolphins or pelicans anywhere in sight.
after our walk we went to one of our favourite beach front cafes' and devoured a delicious breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast and coffee (dh) and tea (me). another great start to our day!
now i'm checking mail and allnurses before bathing the dogs, then we're off to visit a friend in hospital. she and her dh were in a mva on wednesday. their car is a writeoff and she's sustained a rather nasty leg injury, plus bruising and shock. her dh was badly shaken up but no injuries. thank god thay're alive and safe.
hope everyone enjoys their sunday when you reach it!
now............ i'm off to read and catch up on the other threads as well as the gm thread!
stay safe and well. hope to catch up later in the day!
    cheers................
grace, hugs and prayers for your you and your friends. i'm happy they're going to be well.

I'm jealous of you walking on the beach Grace. It's fricken freezing here today. I'm gonna have to pay for parking so that I can plug my block heater in so the car's battery won't die tomorrow.

    GOOD MORNING, PEEPS & PEEPETTS!!

    I'm at work; Busy nite; one RN called sick; the 2nd CNA just didn't even bother to call or show up---this is the second time he's done that in a couple of weeks;

Well, Grace, what a Lovely picture you paint of your early morning beach walk!! Thanks for starting the thread!!
I will say prayers for your Friend & her DH. How freightening!!

Not much to really say yet today.
My two days were spent at the Computer working on my DVD of my mom's pictures. I worked like a little slave & then found I did it wrong.
My DH (yes, he's back to being DH instead of just H) has been rescuing me--figured out what I did wrong & is working right along side me on this project & party.
My DH has ALWAYS had a very SOFT spot in his heart for my MOM & also my Late Dad. I fondly remember when we were still in the dating years & we would break up, he would always stop by & visit with my parents!! We still laugh at that!

I won't write to each of you right now---just no time. We're getting an admit--not mine--but I will be next.
I have a couple of REAL difficult patients--real "train-wrecks" with something mal-functioning with each system!! I also have a complicated Chemo again tonite & most of my pt's have Central Lines so I have to draw all there am labs!!

So to all who have been here & all who will be here----Have a GREAT SUNDAY!!!

    See you all later

Hang in there - thanks for the nice Sunday picture!

I had a BF who was like that - really liked my mom and would come by. A few times, "conveniently" came by at the time we ate Thanksgiving dinner lol

He even sang at my first wedding, GAHHH! that was weird...

Just popping back in before we settle to watch the sunday night movie on TV. Visited our dear friend in hospital, she's going along ok at this point. There's talk of a skin graft to the injured leg. Her spirits were good and the pain is well managed. Thanks for your kind words for prayers and best Wishes. Much appreciated. Bless her, She's concerned about the two people in the other car. They were taken to another one of our major public hospitals. She's such a caring and thoughtful person, even in her own time of trauma she's thinking of others.
Ok, I'm outta here! Hope everyone enjoy's their sunday!
    Cheers..............

Count me in as #2 Tweety . . although I'm not sure I slept through the night as I got oob at 1:45 a.m. I did get to bed by 6 p.m. though. I was up at 12:30 a.m. dosing my son with ibuprofen though - hot little devil. Coughing. Stuffy. He got phenergan w/codeine prior to bed and then I gave him some dimetap with the ibuprofen. He talked to dh and me for about an hour in the dark in bed . . .

Here at work - got pulled off the floor for an ob - very nice couple. The ER nurse took my spot, I took the ER keys until another nurse can come in. So, right now I'm the OB nurse and the ER nurse. Fortunately she is only 4 cm and ambulating in the hall and there are no ER pts.

A walk on the beach is still in my mind . . . .

Hello again, Gracie. Glad your friend is doing so well. Continued prayers for her.

Once again, thank you for that beautiful description of your day. I know many of us face the cold and snowy/icey weather and your lovely visuals can take us away to another land. Thanks.....

I think I need a mini vacation at Grace's. No fair. I'm jealous, too.

Grace.. what a wonderful way to start your day.. even though it's coming to an end as I type this, and mine is just beginning. No such lovely beachwalks for metoday, though. BooHoo. Looks like it's going to start snowing any moment. So glad your friends are ok.. (relatively speaking, of course!)..what a horrible thing to happen, though.

Steph.. I sure hjope your little man is soon on the mend. This has been a long one for him. Adams cheeks and little ears used to turn BRIGHT RED everytime he came down with a cold and fever. He looked so pitiful. Hee.

Morning Mary, Zoe, Adrien, Siri, Tweety, Bethin (and anyone else I might have missed).

Slurping down my first cuppa. Slept in later today for some reason. Maybe 'cuz there's no beach for me to walk, nothing to do today but work on some bills and become disgusted. :stone

I could never fathom paying $4k, much less $10k to see a superbowl. No way, no how. $10k would pay off ALL my debts more than twice over. I'd be debt free. But, different strokes, I guess. If you go, Bethin, I know you'll really enjoy yourself, as you are our #1 Colt fan!

OK.. I'll be back in awhile!
