Summer festivals

  1. Okay, what do you look forward to getting out and going to during the summer. Gotta love the summer outdoor festival. Getting rained on, wallowing through the mud, getting eaten by mosquitos, all in the name of some kickass outdoor entertainment. I'm talking about summer music festivals. I plan on attending the Winnipeg Folk Festival in a few weeks. Cuz sunburnt, potsmoking hippies are MY kind of people. And the music's not bad either, hee hee.

I have fond memories of the last one I attended, I got totally soaked and walked barefoot in the mud all weekend. Took a week to scrub all the mud from under my toenails -- but it was all good.

Seriously, Ani Difranco's gonna be there, and who can miss that.

I saw Ani DiFranco perform back in 1995. She puts on such a great show. You'll love it.

Wish I had plans to attend some concerts this summer. Looks like it's just going to be summer school and movies for me. Sigh...

Glastonbury is the festival to go to in the UK. All the greats have played there over the last 30 years. Apparently Sir Paul McCartney offered to play this Saturday (with top billing) but the organisers declined, as they had a set already arranged! They did offer him Friday or Sunday, but he didn't respond! Tee Hee!
