Suing McDonalds?!?

  1. Did you know that someone is suing McDonalds because they did not know that eating their food all the time will make you FAT?!?
Come on now...I c/n believe that people will blame someone else instead of looking at the "man in the mirror." There was also a 17 yr old whose wt. was almost 300 pounds! What do you think?

Don't buy it. I went vegetarian at 16 and am a now a full-fledged vegan--in part because of what fast food was doing to my health. The information is out there, if people want to ignore it and eat that crap everyday it's their choice.

    Job security for us .

I did kind of miss replying to the point here...I think anyone will sue for anything, and although I would never do anything like that, McD's can take all the abuse the public can dish out. The fact that anyone markets that stuff to kids knowing how unhealthy it is is more unethical than anyone suing them frivolously. Don't feel sorry for anyone that's overweight from fast food though. All they need is 30 minutes of proper exercise 4 times a week and a healthy diet. Doing that is all up to one person.

One kid 15 yrs ols was on TV yest. b/c his mom is suing Mc D.s He weighed about 400 lbs at 15. How sad!!! He will probably never see 30 yrs old, now she is suing Mc D.s, when she is the one who killed him just as if she had shot him. How did he get the money to get that big? From her, who else. She was morbidly obese too. Makes you wonder.

This was on Dr. Phil a few weeks ago. Wasn't the girl like 14 or something? The mother didn't know what to do about her wt problem. Phil asked her who was driving her to McD's every day since she obviously didn't have a license. Her mother was. So, who's responsible in this one? I think that's obvious.

People are so darn sue happy these days. McD has nutritional info on all of their items right in the restaurant. Anyone who doesn't know that eating grease laden food every day must think we all just fell off the turnip truck.

Also, fast food places always have healthy choices on their menu. It is the customer's CHOICE to order a salad or gut bomb. I always get a kick out of the people in front of you that order a Big Mac supersized w/ a Diet Coke. Um, at this point does it matter?

People always want to blame their problems on someone else. "I killed my wife b/c I was abused as a child by my mother." "I have lung cancer from smoking 5 packs a day for 57 years. I didn't know putting foreign chemicals in my lungs was bad. I was brainwashed." "I'm suing Hardee's b/c I was scalded by coffee. I didn't read the sign that said it was hot." HELLO, it was coffee. I could go on and on. Point remains, people are responsible for their own butts, the size of them, etc.

    That's my 2 cents...

another case of lets blame someone else and not take resposibility for our own actions. And while we are at it let's see how much money we can make.

Okay, I'm guilty of this.:imbar But I can't take the sugar in regular coke.

With school, I have not been following good eating habits, so my New Year's Resolution is to refrain from eating any fast food and lowering my diet coke consumption (still not good for you, even if it is diet). Luckily I will be taking a nutrition class as part of my pre-reqs, hopefully I can learn something.

Ugh. Eating McD's everyday wouldn't make me gain weight after very long--I'd get so sick from the grease it would just come right back up or out

hey, if they can keep it down-more power to them! But if they want to shorten their life I don't see why McD's should pay for it...they probably are just trying to get back the fortune they've spent so far on supersized meal

I heard on the radio that Crispy Creme just made HUGE profits. I'm fluffy, too. I think I'll sue them, they have deep pockets now.

I didn't KNOW donuts would make me gain weight!! *sigh*

this sue happy society drives up the cost of everything for EVERYONE. This makes me furious! After paying for lawyer fees fighting this stupid stuff, McD's will raise the price on Big Mac's. Now I'll have to pay more to clog my arteries!!! Maybe I should just join the lawsuit? Then I could have enough money to get free Big Mac's for life.

Did ya'll see the 2 yr old on a talk show last week?? She was OVER 200lbs. THAT is child ABUSE..plain and simple!
and I was concerned about my 45lb 3 yr old!

How Ridiculous! Hopefully it will be thrown outta court as a frivolous lawsuit.
