Stephanie Plum / Janet Evanovich Readers

  1. I just bought "To the Nines" today. All the other books I bought in paperback, used copies. But having just finished "Hard Eight" yesterday, I **had** to have #9 NOW. NOW! I don't want to give any spoilers out to those who may be in the throes of the early books....but anyone out there want to discuss #8? I tell you a nearly had an "experience" of my own just reading one particular section in that book! *Whew* (And not due to explicitness; she's not explicit but wow!)

The first in the series is "One for the Money." The titles are all "numbered" that way. Second in the series is "Two for the Dough." And so on. Great summer reads!

If you really want to have an experience. listen to them on audio tapes. The readers are to die for. Only time I really laughed out loud listening to them. You can get the first 4 or 5 thru Recorded Books. The rest are thru different Book companies, Mike

This series has been floating around our nightshift all summer. It took me no longer than 2 days for any one of the books. Twice on my nights off i laughed so loud that it woke wifey.(at the other end of the house)

Grandma Mazur is the best! And I am so in love with Ranger. (OK, lust may be a better word.)

I've been thinking about movie characters. So far I all have is Antonio Banderas for Ranger. Morelli? Stephanie? Grandma? C'mon, help me out with actors here. I'm not much of a movie goer....

(Edit: Oh, and I finished "To the Nines" today. Bought it today. Finished it today. Now I have to wait for #10!!! Ack.)

What did you think of my casting for a movie? And what did you think of To the Nines?? Was it good?? And oh yeah, for the movie you can't forget Lula!!! I think Queen Latifa would be great as Lula in a movie. What do you think???
  12. by Zee_RN
Absolutely! I had thought Queen Latifah for Lulu too! Too perfect! THAT is an absolute. Clooney for Morelli would be good too. Morelli has to be rather drop-dead gorgeous so, in my humble opinion, strikes out Pacino and DeNiro. Olympia Dukakis crossed my mind -- loved her in Moonstruck. Shirley MacLaine as Grandma! Wonderful! Oh my. I can just hear those "pearls" dropping from her mouth. And the casket lids banging.

But wait! We forgot about Stephanie! Who's gonna play Stephanie? And Vincent? We need someone really squirrelly to play Vincent.

"To the Nines" was great fun. How long do we have to wait for #10?!

How about Geena Davis or Patricia Heaton of Everybody Loves Raymond??

And oh yeah, Vinnie I almost forgot!!! How about Joe Pesci Kevin Spacey, or Christopher Walken for Vinnie??
