Steam cleaner

  1. Hey! Anyone have one of them machines that steam disinfect appliances etc? Not talking about a carpet steamer. If so, which is a good brand and how well do they work. It is my dream to come home to a sterilized and thouroughly disinfected home [read dream, like it's ever gonna happen] . That would so lessen my stress level [I am SUCH an nurse].

they are ok- they work great for defrosting your freezer!! they are kind of hany for doing nooks and crannies that are hard to reach by hand but i don't think that they are all that, run out of steam pretty fast and just having to get it out, fill it, whait for steam etc just easier to me to just skip it. but thats just my opinion!!

I guess I failed the maid of the year award, I never heard of them. But Adrienne if you need to practice you are welcome to come over and steam clean my house.

I have one, love it. Really good for cleaning the toilet cracks, you know, where the males of the family miss when they aim. I have a Shark, warms up right away, can refill on the run, goes for long enough to clean the bathroom. Also like it for the kitchen, gets into the places I can't reach. It's not all that and a bag of chips like the TV infomercial say, but I do like it for some jobs.

I don't have a clue about what ya'll are talking about... Are they like the tile steamers?

Thin vacuum, but instead of sucking, lets out steam to clean things.

Yep, I'm a little neurotic, but then most of you already knew that.

that is until I fell down the stairs carrying the **** thing!

I was wondering if those worked. I bought a floor tile steam cleaner and I like it---but itakes forever. Still--for deep cleaning--and my whole apartment is tile, it's nice to have.

So now I'm going to get a Shark---for those other cleaning jobs. Anything to make life easier.....

    Thanks!

I used a steam cleaner to clean the windows, they ran streaky so I still had to take viniger and newspaper to them!

I thought maybe it was me using it worn, so I sat and read the instructions, then tried cleaning the bathroom tiles.... ended up still scrubbing them with an old nail brush.

I took the cleaner back to the store, and got a refund.

That was during a 'monica' stage of my holidays, now during term time, I barely care that the wiindows are filthy, and that the white tiles are no longer white.
