Staying Youthful

  1. There is another thread that is so delightful. It talks about things we survived as a child. It is always fun reminiscing.

But lately, I do feel like I am ageing. and.. I am... It is part of the cycle of life....

What do you do to revitalize? To be healthy, youthful, get that spring back in your step?

I certainly do not want to ever get plastic surgery or one of those surgical treatments. But maybe.. a chemical peel? A weekend at a spa? Heck, I have done those herbal wraps and they truly are revitalizing. I am planning for a massage next week...

What do you do to keep that spring in your step?

To keep the "spring in my step" I work out regularly. Bowflex is fabulous ! Don't like aerobics...but do enjoy good walks out in nature, along a river, in the woods, etc. Working out moves your blood and puts pep in your step ! Keeps the "flab" toned..even skinny people get "flabby"..gotta keep those muscles worked...don't use 'em, ya lose 'em. To me, it's something I can't live WITHOUT. And it moves the blood to the BRAIN as well !

As far as the facial aging...well, just something I'll accept, even if I don't like it. But a good attitude, positive outlook, and a big SMILE in your heart will do wonders for the face ! FIND things to smile and laugh about dailey. I make it a point to do that..just like working out.

Well, first let me say that I'll get a face lift asap when the time comes! But as far as ageing? I do believe I get younger everyday. For me finding the love of my life in mid-life, silliness and laughter .........nature walks, good lovin. All works for me....!

Okay, don't hate me please! I'm just strange, I know that. I have always wanted to look and be older than I was, the number reached at my birthdays was never high enough. Not at 26, I am proud to find that I have crows feet at the corners of my eyes and laugh lines. I love them!

    Great pic Nightingale!!!!!!

As far as me looking youthful....I got no chance..too many years of bourbon and ciggies!!!

I like to believe that youth is a state of mind..muck around having a tickle fest with dh and son with a good belly laugh gets that spring back in my step.

I go through phases of daily walks which I really enjoy. This usually lasts a few months, then I go back to my alternative phase of slobbing around

I try to get some form of exercise every day and I take several vitamins. If I forget or run out of my vitamins in a couple days I am tired........

I take vitamins as well and can sure tell when I miss a few days myself. Walking in the morning has become my exercise of choice. The last couple of days it's been pretty nippy in the morning but it makes me walk faster! LOL I do feel so much better since I have been walking! Lost a little weight in the process!!

As far as a facelift..NEVER! Have you ever seen the procedrue on TLC??? NASTY!!!! I'm the world's biggest whimp!
