Spit the kitty out

  1. This is the most incredible coincidence! My rottie (who died Saturday morning) used to carry around his best friend, Wodger, in his mouth just like this!!

This isn't my dog, but it looks JUST like him, and this isn't my kitty - but it looks just like HIM. I didn't know this was something that rotties and silver tabbies did a lot of!

Hi, Nurse Dennie. As a fellow dogaholic I thought you might like to know my fiance's German Shepherd, Harley, does the same thing to our grey male kitty, Smokey. Harley actually believes he is Smokey's mother. And the weirdest thing is, Smokey doesn't only tolerate it, he seems to actually enjoy it! By the way, I am heartbroken at your loss I actually had a very similiar experience 2 days before Christmas and am still not quite over it. Feel free to pm me or email me or whatever if you need a helping ear.

What a co-inky-dinky.... Harley must be a common name for shepards? I know of a few...

Dennie... what a beauty Carl must have been.

I love these stories--they are so cute!! I worked at a vet hostpital last year, before I moved here, and I really miss all of the darling patients and their stories.

This is SSSOOO cute. I can't top this one. We don't have cats, only rotts and a spider.

My GSD and tiger-tabby are great friends. Dog puts her big ole paws on the cat and holds him down while she sniffs all over kitty. Kitty just lays there. Kitty will come up to dog and rub against her legs and beg for attention. I have never seen her pick up the cat though. Don't think my cat would go quite that far in dog-tolerance. (Dog's name is Nikki; cat is Tiger-Jack).

Our dog Molly does the same thing! We have a little kitten that I think someone dumped. Our German Shepard/Lab dog loves to carry her around. I feel sorry for the kitten, it is so small and Molly is so much bigger. She doesn't want to hurt the kitten though, she could have done that a long time ago. Sometimes she grabs it by the head! She likes to have the kitten lay next to her, then she will leave it alone.
