My husband just saw the movie this today. Although he said it was better than the first, it was definetly NOT meant for children. Not only was it very gory, but it was scary. It was like those "Friday the 13th" movies, or "I know what you did last summer." I hate those movies where you literally jump out of your skin cause the bad guy JUMPS out when you least expect it!

Oh well, I will NOT be taking my 5 year old to this one!

I finally saw it today. Really quite good for older children and adults. The theme, as I see, it is that the battle between good and evil is not about superheros so much as about the choices everyday people make.

Wonderful movie. My kids did not find it scary at all, while I on the other hand, was totally freaked out by Doc Oc. The special effects were outstanding. I have always loved Spiderman. My kids even watch the old time cartoon with me.

I wanna see it!!! The first one was great. Maybe I'll take my daughter on Wed, my day off. She's going to be 9 in August and she's not easily freaked out....I'm sure she'll be ok.

I'd give it a 4, on a scale of one to ten.

it was okay, it just seemed too long to me. It seemed like the story got bogged down in the middle of the movie.

I loved Spidey 2! It was better than the first. I love all the angst and the love story as well as the action scenes.

Me and my friend went and the stadium theatre was jam packed! It was fun to watch the film with an audutorium full of people who shreaked and laughed and went, "awww" at the same time.
It wasn't really scary, just another dum dum dum DAH! superhero films.
Me and my friend kept elbowing each other in the ribs with our elbows and going , hmmmm....." at the cute little flirting scenes between Toby and Dunst. And at the end, a lot of people clapped. Very fun film to see with a group of friends.

My son and I saw it together -- we both loved it. Special effects and storyline are great. Dr. Ock has much more depth than I expected. The chemistry is a little lacking between the two leads, IMHO...but I thought that in the first film, too.
