spider vein injections

  1. My youngest daughter works for a doctor who is doing spider vein injections. He has offered to do mine for free. He has done several other people that I know but he wants more practice before he advertises. I think I'll do it next Friday. Does anyone have any experience with this? My one friend says her legs no longer hurt and she's happy with the appearance - no obvious veins. What do you think?

I had some done at the dermatologists. Verrrry expensive. It's only saline injections. I had some done on my leg and two small veins on my face ..good results. For free? Yeah, I'd go in a heartbeat.

I've had some spider veins zapped on my legs by laser and wasn't very impressed with the results. Gave up after the 4th or 5th treatment-- too expensive for the lack of results.

A woman who works in our local Day Spa had gone to the same doc I'd been seeing for laser treatments for her veins and was similarly disappointed. She said that she ended up getting the saline injections from a Dermatologist and was pleased with the results. I'd go that route now too, if it was free.

    Go for it!

I got my spider veins injected with hypertonic saline and morrhuate about a year ago with wonderful results! The treatment di hurt a good bit during the injections but it was worth every stick. Be sure you keep your legs elevated for 24-36 hours after the treatment. My legs were swollen like a balloon the next am because I failed to follow good nursing advice.
