Speaking of highschool.... tell me about your crushes heehee

  1. I already told you about Mr. Ragoo. Man he was hot. Picture it, it's the early 90's, and this guy shows up, just out of school. I still have a major thing for East Indian guys. Anyway, he wears blazors and colored jeans to class -- this is a real radical thing at the time. All of a sudden, all the other teachers start paying more attention to the way they dress.

I was so in luv with Mr. Ragoo. So hard to concentrate in history class. He was so energetic, he was an athlete (he coached the boys volleyball team), he really loved history. He made ME love history (I aced the final that year). drool drool drool

    Well... nothing to tell !

Since I went to an all girl's school, there wasn't any distraction. After school hours were filled with track team and other athletics.. (all girl's again, of course) and homework.
Parents were pretty strict, and would not have been allowed to do anything even IF we had been sweet on a guy... never started dating 'til I was 18 and school behind me... "yaaaaawn"...

    Exciting, huh?

I married my high school crush. He was a new kid our junior year. He looked like a q-tip. Skinny little guy with big hair. The thing in the '80's I guess. Always wore tight levi's. Different then all the other "farm boys" that were at our school. He and I had a thing for about 8 months. He dumped me for a flag girl. The flag girl got wild with his best friend. No more flag girl for him. Anyway we got married 12 years later.

I had a secret crush on a guy named Rob. I never told anyone because I was afraid he would just laugh or something equally embarrassing if he found out. He was from one "clique" and I was from another, so I just admired him from afar.

One day, I was out picking up a pizza, and in he walks. He said hi and started talking about something from class, and all I could do was smile like an idiot and nod. I couldn't think of anything to say that didn't sound stupid. I missed my big chance!

Jeez, I had SOOO many crushes. At 16, I had a crush on a guy about 10 years older that worked across the hall at the mall. At 15, I had a crush on this boy in my German class who was German and helped me with my German...but as kids can be, by the end of the year we hated each other. At 14, I was in love with a band geek that also played in the high school orchestra that I was a part of. Let's see, then there was my high school boyfriend who is THE biggest loser, but I still have such a soft spot for him......

My crush lasted from 7th grade till 11th grade. We were best friends and I gave him every hint in the book and he would never take the bait. Everyone in school but him knew I was "in love" with him.

I finally got fed up with it junior year and started dating a really cute college guy who I have now been married to for 15 years.

I always wondered what was wrong with me and then I found out that he "came out of the closet" in college. So basically I wasted 5 years of angst for nothing. Only I would be so clueless!

I also had a crush on a gay man, although I didn't know it at the time. I'd still marry the poor guy-if he asked me. He's a sweetie, but I understand moved to TX and married a buff cowboy.

I also had a crush on the same guy in my class for 5 years, but was soooo shy I wouldn't lay it on the table for him. Unfortunately by the time I got courageous enough to speak up he had already found a steady (not me) so had to find others to help me lick my wounds.

I had a dream about my high school crush just last night! I dream about him at LEAST once a month, sometimes more! My hubby has even met him, at my 10 yr high school reunion back in 2000. He was the all around good american boy. Letters in three sports(football, basketball and track). Earned County honors in each sport as well. Smart too! He ended up going to West Point after high school! Short though, only 5'8" on a good day. Far as I know he's still unmarried and will be 32 this July. His b-day is the day before my husbands. How funny is that!

I don't think he realized that I had such a huge crush on him back in high school cause half the female population of my high school had a crush on him too. At the reunion, we were talking and I asked him when he was gettin married seein as how he was gonna turn 30 next July (this was back in 2000). He gave me the wierdest look and said, how did you know when my birthday is? I looked him square in the eye and said, Chris, I was infatuated with you for 6 years (he moved to our school district in 7th grade). He was speechless and I think he may have even blushed a little.

I was able to get to know him a little better back in high school cause he was in my homeroom for all 4 years. One year, I got to sit directly across from him! Oh what luck! He even gave me a compliment one day. I was wearing a red sweater and he told me that I looked really nice in red. I was flying as high as a kite for the rest of the day! Makes me wonder though....what if?

I, like jnette, also went to an all girls school. We had one male teacher, our chaplain,(a priest) no crush there. Went to a coed college, had a huge crush on a guy there, finally asked me out, started dating, he turned out to be a total jerk. Oh,well, at least I never had to wonder how things would have worked out for us!

I had the biggest crush, I mean the biggest, well let's just say I had the hotts for my high school choir director. He was everything! Good looking, funny, smart, could sing, WOW could he sing and had the most beautiful baritone voice I had ever heard. He could mold any choir into sounding like they were professionals. He was something else. I'd melt everytime I saw or heard him. Time went on and we kept in touch for about three or four years. Then suddenly and I mean suddenly he moved to California. All my friends who knew him said he'd got a better job offer. OK and that was the end of that. Went on vacation with my then knight in shining armour to California and thought I'd look him up while I was there. We met up, had dinner at his house, said he got this really good job being the Minister of Music at this church. Blah, blah blah, had a good time, then said our good byes. A week or two later, got a new nurse on our unit. We talked, asked her where she lived and come to find out she lived on the same street my old high school choir director lived. Asked her if she knew him and she said he was her neighbor. Told her I really missed him, but he upped and moved to California. She asked me if I knew why he moved and I told her. She told me to
sit down because she had some story to tell. Told me that he
moved because he was run out of town by the parent of the
teenage boy he was caught with...IN CHURCH no less,...having
sex! I couldn't believe it!!! My mouth just

and I think I walked around with it hung open for weeks!!! Oh my God I was never so crushed in my whole life knowing he was
into "young boys!" She told me that the parent gave him two
choices either get out of town or your name will be plastered all
over the news when I press charges. He
    And I had
just come from visiting him too! No one wanted to tell me, not
even my own mother. She said, "Yeah I told you!?!" "I don't think
I'd forget something like that, ma!" What a world, what a world...

Really makes ya wonder, eh? And to think you wasted all your imaginary affections on him !

By the way... did the boy's parents ever press charges?

Hot damn , Night Owl!!!! That was a crushing blow (no pun intended).

I had several crushes in my high school days....from a senior that started his own band was very popular to the high school jock and musically talented fella in the Christian School I went to...to several boys that I flirted with that were much older than me. I tried to get that musically talented jock's attention. I wanted to know if he could make as sweet music as he played but it just never happened. Went to a Church camp meeting and met my now hubby there...I should have known with his bedroom brown eyes and mediterranean dark good looks ( he has soime greek in him) that I was in trouble!!!! :roll It will be 19 years next february and I don't regret it for a moment.
