Speaking of cooking, Chestnuts??????

  1. Was reading Heather's post, and was wondering about chestnuts. Do any of you buy chestnuts in the produce dept. of your grocery store? When I was in Paris, it was common to see street vendors selling them, nice and hot, and sweet and tasty. Everyone, it seems, bought them. I don't have a clue how they are prepared. But they are so delicious. Do any of you eat them? Are they for sale by street vendors in your city? I've never seen them in any of our cities.

I remember having them when I was in England with my grandfather. I didn't like them, then.

I'd like to try them again - there are a LOT of things I didn't like when I was young that I like now!
