This world is not my home,
    I'm just a passin' through.
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
    The angels beckon me
    from heaven's open door,
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore. :angel2:

Defend your right to dream your way all through the night.
If faith comes hard..consider all you've over come this far
    and let yourself go......

It's so hard to say good bye, but l know love will span all time and boundries.
floating on the sea of love, reaching for the stars above.

Defend your right to dream your way all through the night
if peace won't come, know the battle's almost won.
when faith comes hard, consider all we've overcome this far
    and let yourself go

l'll lift you up..carry you out...don't give up..nothing can hold you down.
But the hardest part is letting go right now.

    .......LET YOURSELF GO.........

The title of the song is Let Yourself Go...it was written by my cousin Paul L Delph while he was in the terminal stages of AIDS...he put together an awesome CD titled A God That Can Dance....He was 39 when he passed away and had a successful music career in so. Cal...did alot of back-up and movie back ground music... l still miss him...thanks for letting me share...............LR

Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels
Looking back at the years gone by like so many summer fields
In sixty-five I was seventeen and running up one-o-one
I don't know where I'm running now, I'm just running on

Running on - running on empty
    Running on - running blind
Running on - running into the sun
    But I'm running behind

Does anyone else have these days, weeks, etc ?

    also,

Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light
You've known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight
You've had to struggle, you've had to fight
To keep understanding and compassion in sight
You could be laughing at me, you've got the right
But you go on smiling so clear and so bright

IMHO, Jackson Browne's songs have a lot of truth in them.

    In My Life"

    Oohh ...

    There are places I remember
    All my life
    Though some have changed
    Some forever
    Not for better
    Some have gone
    And some remain
All these places have their moments
    With lovers and friends
    I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
    In my life
    I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
    There is no one
    Compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
    When I think of love
    As something new
Though I know I'll never those affection
    For people and things
    That went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
    In my life
    I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
    For people and things
    That went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
    In my life
    I love you more

    Oohh ...

    In my life
    I love you more

    "One Last Breath"

Please come now I think I'm falling
I'm holding to all I think is safe
It seems I found the road to nowhere
    And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say
    Let me say

    Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
    That maybe six feet
    Ain't so far down

*I'll run across the valley, beneath the sacred mountain, and wander in the forest,
where trees have leaves of prisms, that break the light in colors that no-one knows the names of.

*She may beg, she may plead, she may argue with her logic, and when she knows the things I've learned,
that really have no value, in the end, she will surely know
    I wasn't born to follow.

*Pulled in to Nazareth, was feelin bout half-past dead
Just need some place where I could lay my head
"Hey mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?"
he just grinned, and shook my hand, "No!" was all he said.....

"if you don't know me by now, you will never know me".

i had some good days; i had some hills to climb. i had some weary days and some sleepless night. when i look around and i think things over, all of my good days out weight by bad days, i won't complain.

sometimes the clouds hang low. i can hardly see the road. i ask the question, why so much pain. he knows what's best for me. althought my weary eyes can't see, i'll say thank you lord. i won't complain.

god been good to me. he has been so good to me. more than this world could ever be. he dries all of my tears away. turn my mid-nights into days. instead of complaining, i will say thank you lord, i won't complain.
