Well, while you all are donning your sequined suits, plastic hair, and trying to pretend you have talents other than writing the McDonald's jingle, I'll continue to be the person my parents warned me about, wasting away in ... you guessed in, Margaritaville!

By the way, Ted, your responses had me rolling. I could just see you sitting in your living room, your chin in your hand, deep in thought: "Hmmmm. What to do? A warm snuggle with my honey, or a Barry Manilow lecture? Hmmmm."

Oh, MY GOD!!! Did I really just write those three words? What better proof can there be that our education system has completely broken down?!? A lecture? At a university? By Barry Manilow? That's it, I'm moving to a deserted island (with cheap margaritas).

But there's no denying. . . . Barry Manilow is one fine Pop Song writer!

    Cheers to you!

    I actually LIKE that song!

Funny thing is, I've got two BM songs: Copacabana and Mandy. And all our songs are organized on the server by genre. My husband put the two above songs in the "Gay" genre. :

Popular Barry Manilow is so deep a part of my childhood. When I first used a alarm radio in 5th grade, it was his songs that I slumbered to.

"I made it through the rain, and kept myself protected." I remember some song that went like that which he sung.
