So, what did YOU have for dinner?

  1. So far, and it doesn't look a lot better for improvement, I have had two small packs of saltines and peanut butter.

You dinner has got to have mine beat. So, what did you have tonight?

Well, my hubby does most of the cooking...tonight he grilled steaks on the deck and we had beans with almonds. He has been watching Emeril and Rachel Raye on the food channel recently - lol.

I am so jealous... I am a little hungry but too lazy to cook tonight. I knew there was someone out there who was eating well

For dinner I had a fast food meal from the Taco Bell drive-thru window. I'm probably going to go into a hypertensive crisis when I reach middle age. :uhoh21:

I made whole-wheat pasta with choice of sauces (lo-fat alfredo or mushroom marinara -- thank you Paul Newman! ), and (packaged) salad or (frozen, but I did heat them, lol!) peas for veggie. Nothin' special, just something to fill tummies without my developing varicose veins from standing and cooking. Like I need to do more standing, lol!

Some nights we have SOS! Some nights I'm sorely tempted to open the cold cereal cupboard and let 'em have at it! I do like saltines and peanut butter (with a little butter under the PB and a little jelly on top ). D

My kids know their way around a microwave, yes indeedy. Freezer is usually stocked with stand-bys.

My dh makes a meeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaannnnn bowl of cold cereal.

Everyone knows how to use the toaster (but will they take the time??? not usually, lol! What Mom makes tastes so much better -- even dh says so!!)

I live in a small town - about 600 people - and across the street is a little mexican restaurant with a deck overlooking a lovely valley. So, my ds and I walked over there and I had a wet chili verde burrito (wet meaning sour cream, avocado, salsa). He had a bean and cheese burrito, rice and beans.

It is hell living across the street from a mexican restaurant. :wink2:

Had the yummy caldo from Taqueria del Sol in Houston! I was busier'n a one-armed paper hanger at work today, but that stuff can make anything better.

Our summer staff at work is leaving this week, so we took them out for lunch at a restaurant down the way. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich, and am still not very hungry, so will eat some Cheerios and blueberries later, I think. Dh and ds finished off the bbq chicken and rice pilaf we had last night.
