Should CNA get murder charge or manslaughter?

  1. I saw on Court TV today about that CNA who hit a man with her car and he got imbedded on her windshield. He was still alive. She didn't call 911 nor did she give any first aid. She drove with him still alive and attached to her car. She hid him still imbedded to her car and let him die in her garage. After he died, she got some friends to dump his body at a local park. Do you think she should get a murder charge or a manslaughter charge?

    I remember this horrifying story.
My opinion: I believe I recall hearing the driver was drunk (or on drugs). Because of this fact alone, I feel a murder charge would be in order. If she had not been under the influence, hit the man and stopped to get him medical care and he died, I could see a manslaughter charge (if do they handle accidents like this?) But not stopping, leaving him embedded in her windshield to die in her garage crossed the line and is murder in my opinion. I just can't even imagine what this poor guy went through in his final time on earth. (I recall hearing he was still alive and moaning and begging for help for some time in her garage.). I wonder what ever happened in this case?

Murder. At the moment she decided to let him die and bury him without giving him first aid or calling 911, that's when it went from manslaughter to premeditated murder imo.

OMG! That is absolutely disgusting! She should be charged with murder. I am just amazed at people, sometimes.

This young woman should be charged with murder. She kept this poor man hidden in her garage, suffering, til he died; then schemed with friends to dispose of the body. This was cruel, calculated, unspeakable.

If I were on the jury and had a choice, she would get the death penalty.

Murder. And then sentenced to the death penalty.

OMG, this horrifying beyond words. what a monster. MURDER. She could not have been more guilty if she had just finished the job w/shot gun. No she rather let the man suffer a horrible death in agony and slowly. She is evil. Pure and personified.

    I agree....
This happened a few years ago and she WAS convicted:
Sentenced to 50 years....seems light to me considering the crime....

IMO she's lucky she will ever get out of prison.I sat on an ATTEMPTED murder jury here in Ft Worth and we gave the guy 45 yrs. Giving her 50 for what she did seems ridiculous. (she will be out in 25)

But I wasn't on this jury ( it makes me wonder who was and where their sympathies lie)

Thanks all. I didn't realize that this was an "old court case." :imbar :imbar :imbar . Yes I think she should have gotten more than 50 years that's for sure. :angryfire
