Shortcuts for using Allnurses/computer

  1. Guys, technical assistance.

    For example:

I have seen animated avatars. Mine, when I put it up, wouldn't animate. Ideas?

When reading posts from someone, is there a quick way to go back and see what they are referring to? For example, if someone responded to THIS post, is there a way to "back up" and re-read the post that was referenced besides scrolling backwards?

I welcome other questions and answers here too!

Tips:- At the top of every thread is an option expand all/contract all. If you click on contract all then all you get are the posters names. This makes it easy when browsing through really long threads trying to find one person's post.

If you want to find out more about a member click on the "profile" button and then click on all posts submitted by ...... this will let you review EVERYTHING they have ever said on this board - that can be VERY ehlpful when working out where they are coming from. I recently checked on one member who for the last 30 posts had done nothing but quote another member and then argue with them. As I said - gives you a handle on where they are coming from.

I have used the search option - quite a lot.

    Hopes this helps.

    But Gwen,
    What exactly is a SFnut?
  9. by Jay-Jay
Science Fiction, Rusty! They tend to be rather.....geeky as a rule.

(....but not as geeky as us Fantasy nuts!)

SF is geeky, I have always preffered the term normalacy challenged!

I kinda thought the avatar gave it away. I am a bit of a traditionalist and don't like the term Sci-fi but it is more instantly recognisable.

OH and for those who have wondered my avatar is actually the cover of a 1948 "Dynamic Science Fiction" magazine.

I've always wondered where your avatar came from gwenith, now I know.
