"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING Y'ALL!"
How is everyone this fine Saturday Morning?
I know. I know. My posting has been very
sporadic of late - I'm missing out on a lot of "good stuff" here at AN.com
What can I say? Life has been 'hectic' for a while now. My aunt decided to take some "time off" with my Uncle - and goodness knows the two of them deserve it! They've been through a lot in the recent past (especially my aunt with her breast ca. diagnosis, chemo and radiation and all that) - so I volunteered to kinda "watch over" my cousin while they are away.
He's a good kid. A smart kid.
But he's also a teenager.
And in typical teenager fashion, he thought I was "clueless" about "the world"... about "girls" ... about "love, heart ache and heart break" and pretty much everything else in the world (including a silly proposition about how "basketball is superior to hockey" but I digress). :stone
Y'all know what I mean, right?
Hey! Forget the fact that I was in his very shoes barely 10 years ago! What was that quote?
Quote from Mark Twain
When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
:chuckle Me thinks my cousin will end up having a "dose of reality" real soon - my only hope is that he gets it sooner than latter and it isn't as painful a lesson (as mine was!
Now, as for your "song for the day"... it comes with a little twist.
Please listen/watch the two of them:
Song 1 link
Link for video 2
Now y'all will no doubt notice that both videos feature the same song.
The song is called "Farewell to Slavianka
". It is a Russian march (originally titled: "Proshchanie Slavianki"). Y'all can find some more information here
Video 1: is footage I dug up from the bowels of the internet, thanks to a mutual friend on a "WWII history website".
Video 2: is associated footage. Actually, the friend who helped me "dig up" video 1, initially pointed me towards "video 2".

Well, Good Saturday Morning . . .from a bleary eyed nurse. :smilecoffeeIlovecof
Steph: Is there no closer ER/workplace?! I know you kinda started on a new job.
I refused a plum posting at a town 40 minutes away because I refused to drive that distance over the interstate if I could avoid it! The job may have paid me more - but the risks to me were not worth it!
Well! I hope you get some good, sound sleep!

so dsil can paint it for her .. she gave him a project "because he looked bored"
Haha! As a young kid, I was often given "chores" by family because: "He needs something to do". Almost reminds me of a grandparent of mine and what he said when I graduated High School:
Grandpa: "Son! You should become a Doctor."
Me: "Huh?! Really?! Why do you think so, Grandpa?"
Grandpa: "Because Son! We have no doctors in the family!"

Good Morning busy packing leaving for orlando in a few hours.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Ooooh! Orlando! I haven't been there in 10 years!
Hope you have a FABULOUS TIME jmgrn!
Siri! Hope your PALS goes better than my attempts to "register" for the ACLS class (over the strident objections of my charge nurse - reason being "we'll be understaffed!")

Lots of studying to do...
Mornin' Joe! Hope you have a productive time studying! Run into any "obstacles", don't hesitate to shoot allnurses.com a line at the student forum

And a Good Morning it is indeed !
WELL! If it isn't lil' "Miss I've just been on vacation!"
I read your exploits! I read your tales! I saw them pictures!
And I was truly happy Jnette, that you, Mutti and your family had an enjoyable Oktoberfest
