    Tweety,
I hope your shift today is a easy and rewarding one.
I plan to continue to catch up on all of the chores that seem to have doubled since my return from vacation.
I am going to request everyone to keep their fingers crossed and say a prayer or two for me this week. My sister has 2 very special appointments with her doctors this week, and I have started the job hunt and I plan on seeing some people this week too. I know all of this is really in His hands but I need a little encouragement. I am a little unsettled at the prospect of "selling" my skills again, especially since I have only done home nursing for the hubby and other family members the last 2 years.
I hope everyone that works today has a good shift. I hope everyone who is not working has a great weekend. Please remember a smile and a kind word is good medicine anytime we share it with others.
    Have a blessed day.

Barefoot, there's power when a group prays, so consider it done.

    Morning everyone!

Tweety....have a great day at work....I'm headed there myself!

Barefoot.....will pray for you and your family. ((hugs))

Well, my last weekend to work and then I have next weekend off! :hatparty: My last 2 weekends went really well, so here's hoping that this one goes well, too. Although, if my morning is any indication of how my day will be, it looks bleak. It's bad enough getting up at 5 am and looking ahead to a 12+ hour shift, but at least it's some time to myself. But this morning, everyone decided to get up with me (baby, 5 yo and 2 yo). I really need that quiet to get myself together....but it's okay. At least they love me enough to want to be with me :chuckle .

My son has a football game today.....GO LONGHORNS!!! I hope everyone isn't too crabby from being up at 5 to enjoy the game!

    Jess....hope you found your kitty!

    Have a great day everyone!!!!

    GOOD MORNING!!

I want to wish each of you a Great Day & Weekend!!

Siri--From yesterdays thread--- Weetziebat is a nurse from this board. She was a regular in the Good Morning Thread. Then, in January she went off to Saudi Arabia to work. Some of us have kept up with Weetzie in the form of ground mail. Now none of us has heard from her in a while & we are kind iof worried. I know I am. Weetzie was one of my favorite friends from here. I am probably going to send cards to both her address in Saudi again and to her DH at her home.

Tweety-- Hope you have a great day at work.
Barefoot-- you are in my prayers.
jkaee-- I hope your weekend goes well.
    Have a great Weekend, all.

    Good morning, everyone!

Tweety, have a wonderful day off work.

Barefoot, consider it done. Prayers do work, I think.

Jennifer, I hope your weekend goes well. Hang in there.

Mary Ann, have a wonderful day. I too, have been wondering about Weetzie, though I haven't kept up with snail mail. Hopefully, she's just been really busy.

Today I get my hair done and then I'm getting a manicure and pedicure. I want to get my feet ready for our Hawaiian trip next month.

Hard to believe it's October, already, isn't it?

    Good morning everyone!

Our major event is sending our oldest to the homecoming dance tonight....sitting around the house for the most part, otherwise.

Tweety, have a great day at work. I hope you're well rested from yesterday!
Barefootlady, prayers and hugs to you and your family.
jkaee: Have a great day at work! Good luck to your son!
    nursemary9: Have a great day!
    cyberkat: Enjoy your pampering!

To all before, and to all after:
Have a beautiful, productive, 28 hour day! :chuckle

    Morning everybody!

It's COLD here this morning! Upper 30's when I looked, but was probably at or near freezing overnight. But there was beautiful sunshine when I looked out. And while I was looking out the window, a flock (herd? gaggle? group? clique?) of wild turkeys came walking across the front yard. One of them started to run and chase another bird that was pecking away at the grass near the fence, but the rest just meandered through. There must have been 12 or 13 of them. I was quick enough to snap a couple of pictures; I'll get them on the gallery soon. I've never seen wild turkeys! I was upstairs when I saw them; Twister-cat was downstairs and I have no idea what he was doing. Probably driving himself crazy, running from window to window...salivating and hissing. Or maybe he was just sleeping.

Speaking of cats... Jessy found hers!!! You'll remember she posted here that Kiro had escaped from her house and was nowhere to be found. They found him under a bush last night, scared but safe. I know she's relieved.

I have to make lasagna tonight. I think I do it pretty well, but it just uses every dish I own! Some new friends are coming for dinner. We haven't really entertained since we've been in this house; it's probably time. I can start that this afternoon, which will give me plenty of study time this morning. I should get started.

Tweety - Have a great day at work, my friend. I'm happy your class is over and that you've done so well. You'll hear from me!

Barefoot - I am indeed keeping you and your sister in my prayers. Like Tweety said, there's power in a group. We're with you!

Jennifer - I think it's nice that your family got up with you, although I can appreciate the quiet, down time as well! I hope your weekend is a good one.

Mary Ann - I hope you hear from Weetzie soon. Please post when you hear, OK? I'm keeping a good thought for you both.

Kat - Hawaii??? I'm jealous! We were supposed to go on a cruise to Hawaii this past March, but the cruise was cancelled at the very last minute. The company made it up to us by refunding our money and giving a free cruise anywhere within the year. But now that I'm a student, my available times became severely limited. The only time I can go is a specific week in February, and the only cruises available are in the Carribean. It's not hard to take, but it's not Hawaii! I hope you have a wonderful time!

Fun - Have a wonderful day, too!

And for all of you yet to come, have a peaceful and blessed Saturday! Be well.

    Peace.

    Hello All !

Crashed on the couch last night while watching the evening news..and that was the EARLY evening news, mind you. DH swears I was sawing some major logs with one foot on the floor, one leg up on the back of the couch, and my mouth gaping wide open....

Don't remember when, b ut sometime or another I crawled off the couch and into my bed.. and never woke up 'til nearly nine am this morning ! WOW. I must have been simply wiped. Either that or I'm just getting plumb OLD.

Tweetles.. hope your weekend turns out to be a pleasant one.

Fun2.. got your camera all ready and batteries loaded?
Hope dd has a beautiful and memoriable time.

Kat.. go pamper thyself, and when is it that you go to Hawaii? How neat !

Mary.. let us know if you find out anything about the Weetz. I'm hoping she's just trying to get resettled and busy at regrouping, unpacking, etc.
I, too, have really missed her... a LOT.

Jennifer.. hope your weekend goes smoothly as well. I can sure relate to needing that little bit of "quiet time" in the morning while you get ready for work. I hate it when dh just gets up to pee.. .. of course we have only one tiny bathroom, too.

Barefoot.. I do hope you feel refreshed from your vacation.

And yes, I'll be lifting you up in prayer that prospective employers will see you in a favorable light, recognizing your selfless spirit and strong work ethic. Do keep us posted. (((HUGS))) You certainly deserve a good turn.

OK.. I'm outta here for awhile. Those bills aren't getting into the mailbox with me sitting here on my derriere in front of this puter. LATER !

    Hey there, Don !

I just KNEW someone else would be joining the group while I was typing away, and that I'd end up leaving someone out... heh.

Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. Bet your lasagna is divine, too!

We had a herd of wild turkeys.. (I love using "herd" for birds of any kind) :chuckle .. in the field right outside my bedroom window last fall. There must have been two dozen.. along with their young !!! It was an awesome sight. They pecked around in the old garden for nearly three or four hours, then suddenly they were gone. *poof*

Have a great weekend, Don !
