    GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!

    Zoe,
    Thanks for starting the thread.

I'm at work & it's so-so tonite. So MUCH quieter then last nite!!
We ended up with 1 pt. being transferred to tele Unit & a second pt, we called RRT & he ended up in MICU. Neither was my pt, but you know we always help each other out so it was extremely busy!!
So we needed something more sane tonite.
We have the fourth nurse tonite which is great however, we have only 1 CNA. :angryfire
But that's how it is---never quite enough staff!!!

I'll be off Sat & Sun nite. No plans, just to relax, Both Thurs & Fri I felt bad & went to bed early, so I hope I feel better on the weekend.

Need to get back to work now!!
You all have a wonderful day!!

I'm sure all of you have heard of this famous cat. lol

If not then here Cat of Death!

Good morning everyone btw. I'm not on the desk tonight, hence my quietness. I feel better tonight... couple more staff got attacked tonight... thankfuly at least not by the same iniviual. No one seriously wounded in the line of battle. Had one AWP (away without permission) that ended up in a ativan/haldol/benadryl cocktail IM in the tushie... but besides that everything is white as rain.

o.O I think the fact that I think this kind of stuff is "normal" makes me just as crazy as anyone else in this place. I am Alois in Wonderland... and I think I may have just fallen down the rabbit hole.

Going on about my 7th cup of coffee so I am somewhat approachable lol. I love my job... I love my job... I love my job.... *sigh*

We had one incident that happened at 4 and it wasn't reported till 5... my sup reemed the reporter out and then he quickly said he made a mistake and it was actualy at 4:30... mmmmmK.

Interesting night... but I'm rolling with the punches... literally lol. It's one of those nights where nothing suprising or gets underneath my skin. I just find everything sarcastically amusing.

Hope everyone has a beautiful day.

Please zoe, be cool! More precisely, make it cool here! Its hot, humid, not a breeze in sight! How about you send some snow? It'll turn to rain, and then I can get some sleep!

Anyhow, good evening zoe, nursemary, alois, jmgrn.
Sorry you are having a rotten shift alois. How much longer before it is over? That story about the cat is beautiful. If only they'd allow more animals in facilities...

jmgrn, don't work too hard (yeah, right! you're a nurse)! I'll send you a cyber coffee:smilecoffeecup:

Mary ann, you look after yourself, and enjoy your time off. Hope you are not rung by the hospital for extra shifts...

Me, I'm talking myself into getting off this computer, and going to feed the cat and dog who are looking at me with the saddest eyes as if they haven't been fed in 10yrs. Then I'm off to bed. Back to work tomorrow night

Morning sirI dar jmg Alois Mary Ann Zoe!

    Zoe, great pictures!

Mary Ann, I hope that you'll eventually get a shift that's properly staffed.

Alois, sounds like you had a really tough shift. Not making me look forward to my Psych rotation.

Don't know why I'm up at 5:30 on a Saturday...anyway, I've got to clean up, my dad is coming by to drop off his old TV (he got an LCD) and TV table, so I can get rid of my cheap little set and use my old TV table as a computer desk and not have to post sitting on the floor.

    Good Morning to you all,

WET and cold Saturday here but alas no snow!! I loved those photos Zoe. Something so peaceful about snow pics.

    LOL Hey Netters,

    G'nite, Sabby Sue.

By the way.. you're safe. I looked again, and noted your walls were off white.. or ivory... or whatever. Heh... mine are still white.

    Wanna come help paint?

See you all in the a.m. !

I LOVE painting that is for sure. No white walls in da Sabby house.
I love love love color. Here is my bedroom and kitchen as an idea of the Sabby house theme. Like earthy tones hence the terracotta kitchen.
Living room is a soft gold color!!

I took this photo before the valance was put up above the curtains. Now that looks bootiful I have to say

    Here is my kitchen now.

Just a little insight in to the Colorful world of Sabby.

I have steenin' earache today. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Have a baby shower to go to this afternoon. Ugh not fun when one feels miserable eh? Oh well off to the shower and maybe I will feel brighter then. I do have to go and buy something cute for the baby girl.

Have a beaut weekend and enjoy your time away from the grind and for those at work I pray for a quieter shift... Shhhhhh I said nuttin'

    Stay safe one and all

I HAD been meaning to ask how you pronounce your name, is it like that?

I feel sorry for you dar - NOT! They say people's lives flash before them just before they die - mine does every year about this time when I wonder WHY in the WORLD I live in MAINE - and shouldn't I get out of Dodge while I have a chance, before it snoooowwwwws!

So - you are welcome to any and all snow we have up here as soon as you figure out a way!

As to the pitiful pets - you would think they all go to the same survivor classes, "Now this is what you do if you want to make sure your owners don't forget to feed you ..." (First of two steps: second is, to trip us as we walk by...)

    Good morning boys and girls,

Zoe great winter pics, so long as they are of your place, haha. Will definately be the scene here as well soon enough. Muffy and her cold toes, I know that feeling, time for the heavy duty warm footwear and coats to come out. Why is snow so pretty yet winter so long. I long for the summer right after the first snowfall, or at the very least spring.
Sabby, I could certainly help you paint as I have basically redone the entire house this past summer and have gotten rather efficient at it. Going to rip off wainscotting and attack bathroom and dd's room tomorrow.
Well I survived major disaster yesterday. While putting things away in kitchen drawer, my lovely summer installed granite sink decided to separate from the countertop and kerplunk -fell into the space below, half sink full of water included. Of course it spilled and flooded new cork floor and went on into dining/livingroom , down 4stairs towards the front hallway but first seeped through the same stairs and into the basement. Did I mention hardwood in those rooms newly finished as well as basement floor?? Doesn't sound like much but is a huge sink so therefore loads of water even though half full. Took many , many towels to soak it all up, plus the mess in basement. Of course some landed in and around the catbox in basement so litter gelafied all over the floor, gross mess on its own. But no problem since I am sooo good at laundry , I was more than happy to get (have) to do 2 more loads of filthy towels.

On the up side, I said nuts to cooking and took the kids out!! Hopefully being assessed and fixed today. Hmmm, to be cranky with the installers or passive agressive?? What to do...

    Have a great week-end everyone!!

    Gorgeous pics there, Zoe !
I agree.. something very soothing and peaceful about snow pics. Didn't get a flake last noc. Knew we wouldn't though.

Mary.. glad your noc was better. So nice when that happens. Enjoy them when they do, right?

Alois... better you than me. Psych is NOT my cuppa.

Dar.. quit abusing those poor darlings and feed your pets, will ya? Sheeeeeeeeeesh !!! :trout: LOL !!!

Joe.. sounds like a plan !

jm.. hope your day is a good one. DS all better now?

Sabby.. LOVELY. Very nice colors. Leslie will be pleased, VERY pleased.
I really need to get ours done. Oh well. Someday.

No snow for you either. Too bad. It'll come. Like in March, when we're tired of winter and are gleefully anticipating Spring.

Siri.. what are you into today? Too busy guzzling down that coffee to say much yet? Having trouble opening those peepers? :spin:

Well.. time for another cuppa and then get started around here. Felt good to just roll over again in the bed and keep on snoozing this morning! aaaaahhhhhhh. Min-Min snuggled close all night long.

Speaking of.... those "hotspots" I've been telling you all about? Those pink hairless spots? Not mange, not allergies... but RINGWORM!!!

Cultures came back positive. Now we're medicating those spots with antifungal solution. Hope it clears up, poor baby. They got the results back the day we left for the beach, and her medicine has been sitting there all this time.. they never called us or emailed me (I guess they tried the first day or two, but we were gone) and we would never have known to pick up her meds if she hadn't had an appt. the other day for her last set of shots.
I was really po'd about that ! :trout: My Minnie Moo Spotty Dog could already have been well on her way to having all that cleared up.

OK.. enough ranting. Off to get some chores done. DH is making b'fast.. bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits. I'm hungry.

Think I'll make a good ol' pot of homemade potato soup later today. Throw in a can of cream of celery with it for that extra good flavor. Yums.
