Saturday All Day Mornin'

  1. Good morning,

What a lovely September morning it is here but I am wondering how the weather is doing in Texas? I was supposed to be on a day off but have been infomed there are not enough staff this afternoon so I am going in to cover, and will take tomorrow off and put out to agency. I have another 24hrs to sort out tomorrow. Yes I am a saint:angel2:

Wishing all who follow a great day

    Good morning everyone!

Saint madwife, jkaee, Jess, and Tweety.

Everyone have a great day working, studying, or whatever.

Went to another football game last night. They lost...I think we brought brought bad luck with us. They were 3-O, but they lost 31-14 . OUCH! I'm hoping at least my daughter's high school won, even though we didn't go to that one.

My day will be spent studying ChemiSUX x 10 E23!

Y'all have a good one!!!!!!! PEACE!

    Good morning everyone!

We're fortunate here that our weather isn't volatile and violent; it's beautifully foggy in these hills, and seasonably cool. Some of the leaves are changing their colors, and it's starting to feel like autumn. We're supposed to see temperatures in the low 70's today, with lots of sunshine. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all of you who are (or have families who are) facing this Hurricane Rita. Please be safe and well.

Our friend Marc (an electrician) is here for the weekend; he and the partner are wiring in the main hall for a chandelier. They're drilling now in the space just on the other side of my office, and it sounds (and feels) like we're about to make a jailbreak. I'm going to have to find somewhere else to study. Perhaps I'll go over to the school and use the library. I have one more article review to do, and it'll be nice to have that out of the way. I found out yesterday that I got a 95 on the nursing test (yay for me!), and that most people missed a specific question. The instructor is going to throw that one out, and if it's the one I got wrong, then my grade will go up. Either way, it's good for me. I'm happy with the 95.

Well, the noise has stopped. Maybe it's safe to stick my head out the door.

St. Kay, Jennifer, Jessy, Tweety, Fun... you all have a wonderful day at work, study or play! To all who follow, be safe and happy. I'll check in later.

    Peace.

    Don

hope you all are doing fine. having trouble with my connections this morning. expect to lose power. yes, rain and wind here sooo far inland. my oldest dd and family are riding it out in la. i do not agree, but, i cannot physically make them leave. they have 50-60 mph winds. have already had 10 inches of rain. everything is boarded and taped. i cannot imagine what that is like. never been in that situation. so far they are safe and i expect them to fare well. but, still makes me nervous. :stone my youngest went north and is o.k., but, still rain, flooding and winds there, too. and, now tornado watch.

my area is low lying here in the delta. we have predictions of flooding and about 8-10 inches of rain. i just got back from town with food that does not need to be prepared with electriciy, plenty of ice. barely got gas, but, finally found a station about 30 miles away. i am concerned about tornadoes, too. :stone where i live, i am surrounded by trees. beautiful. but, if the storms hit as predicted today and tomorrow, i may have several very old ones down. i hope and pray this is not the situation. my house barely survived one year with the trees falling all around. i expect no electricity and cable, but, hey, i can survive this. my dh is still up north hiking and will be home later tonight. thank goodness. so .........

hello, kay. thanks for starting the gm thread. hope you have a great day.

hi, tweety. enjoy the days off. you deserve them.

Good morning Don, stidget99, Siri. Everyone stay safe in the path, luckily for myself I don't think we're even going to have to worry. ...a little rain would be nice...don't know whether I should water the grass or wait.

Siri, since I have an 8-week Music Appreciation class after this 8-week chemistry class is over, I hope I can regain brain cells! .....'cause as of right now, in another 4 weeks, my brain will be mush. :chuckle

The lil' one just woke up, and she wanted cereal. ....Life is easy! haha I cook enough during the week. lol Hubby's at work, and my 14-yr old is still sleeping.....life of a teenager. lol

yesterday @ 3:30 pm i started to sit down at the computer in a chair that has arms on both sides. i always use the arm to help myself sit down b/c of how fragile my back is. well i went to sit down and hurt a pop. instant pain.

i had a chiropractor appt. @ 3:45 went to that. he looked at my back said to use ice (already knew that one). he worked on my upper back. came home took some vicodin 500 and used ice 20 on 20 off. until my dh went to bed at 1 am. by 6 am i could no longer stand the pain.

went to the er. they gave me a shot of demerol and valium for the pain and muscle spasms. they took x-rays. come to find out i have a fracture in my sacrum area.

i am in so much pain. i am unable to attend any of the events that i was suppose to for my class. i don't know what will happen now. i sure hope i don't receive and f for the assignment.

my dh is starting a new job. yesterday was his last day @ his old job and he doesn't start his new job until oct. 3.

i was suppose to go on monday afterclass and fill out my paper work and set up a schedule for me to go back to work.

with dh taking this new job it is a big cut in pay. i don't know what we are going to do now. as i sit here typing this both of my legs are going numb. i need to work to keep up afloat.

we are behind on bills this month as it is. i don't know how we are going to make it.

i would appreciate some prayers if you guys can.

sorry i didn't address everyone individually. i hope you all are having a good weekend. sorry to put such a damper on your day.

    thanks for listening

akcarmean, I'm so sorry about your situation. (I can't believe your chiropractor didn't x-ray!)

Hope everyone's day is fine otherwise.

    Thanks for the thoughts.

I have had so much back problems this past year that he and I at the time didn't think that it was anything that bad. It wasnt until it kept getting worse. That I went to ER.
I just had my 3rd steroid epidual injection about 2 months ago. I was getting better and ready to go back to work then this.

oh, angie. bless your sweet heart. :icon_hug:

i am sooooooo glad the chiropractor did the upper back instead. wow! he/she could have done real damage. what did your pcp think about the adjustment you had?

you need to assume that position of comfort. please be sure to report this numbness.......go back to the er if you must.

    take care, :icon_hug:
