I know there are a lot of "ring" threads out there already. I want to start a new one specifically about the show I saw last night. It was a sort of "the making of the rings" type of thing. It may even have been a repeat but it was the first time for me. It was absolutely fascinating. Anyone else see it? Orlando broke his back falling out a window about a year before he started making that movie. (Could not help wondering what kind of chemicals he had in his system at the time) He was very, very lucky to heal so completely. He showed us his surgical scar and it was a biggie. All the females stars were gaga over the guy who plays Aragon, apparently he is a true hunk. Did you know he almost drowned making the movie? The most interesting thing was that the actor that played GOLEM truely played him. They put a special suit over him, he acted out the part and then the animation was somehow attached to the suit later. So it was a true performance, not just a voice over. A little item I thought most telling was that the actor that played Sam made a short film on his day off. Everybody in the bigger film showed up for it. The director of Rings played a bus driver, he insisted on a retake for his part cause he was not satisfied. Fascinating, absolutely fascinating.
