Requested "buckeye" recipe....

  1. Very simple and very addictive...BEWARE...

    BUCKEYE CANDY
    1c. butter
    1c peanut butter
    1 LB powdered sugar
    1c nuts(optional)

Mix 1st 4 ingedients together... mixture will be stiff...Roll into small balls..size of buckeyes..chill for about 1 hr

You can use parrafin( helps coat buckeyes easier) about 1/4 bar or use about 1tsp of solid veg shortening to 8-12 oz of milk chocolate...
Take a toothpick and use it to dip your balls into the chcolate...these will need refrigerated to "set-up"....

    ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hatparty:

    Has anyone tried these ?

    1 packet instant noodles
    1 block cooking chocolate
    crushed nuts
    dried mixed fruit

Melt chocolate and add in crushed instant noodles, nuts and mixed fruit. scoop out into small stacks.

This simple reipe tastes MUCH better than it sounds except in the case of the person who added the contents of the flavour sachet (prawn) to the mix!

    My recipe for Buckeyes is:

    1# butter
    2# peanut butter
    3# powdered sugar

Prepared the same, roll, chill, and dip. Only I NEVER use the wax. I buy chocolate at the cake/candy making store that is made for dipping, no special prep required (my favorite is Alpine).

My recipe makes about 200-250, depending on how big you roll them. I usually make a triple batch at Christmas.

Sounded good til you added the dried fruit. I cannot do dried fruit. My mother inlaw makes these but with chow mein noodles and sans dried fruit.
